Topic: what would you have done | |

ok just wondering what you all would have done.
i was out on a date on saturday night. this was the second date. we had a nice dinner where we sat and talked. after eating we went to a small bar that we could sit at and talk some more. as soon as we sat down she ordered three different drinks and proceeded to more or less sit and pound them. until she was drunk. i took her home and left. she called and acted like nothing had happened. i told her that i didnt think things were going to work out. do you all think i was over reacting? |

She could have been very nervous and wanted to relax but maybe took it overboard. You know how those women are!

No not at all.
I am not a drinker, and even if I was, I certainly would not have acted that way on a 2nd date. I would not have gone to a bar, maybe a coffee house and had a cup of tea...or a latte. BUT, not ever a drink... Just my 2 cents....worth I'm sorry it didn't work out |

so your upset cause you took her to a bar and she drank there ???? or that she drank more then you?? or was it something else?

No I don't think you over reacted. Why would anyone order three drinks at one time. Sounds like she might have a drinking problem. I wouldn't ask for a third date. Thats just my opinion.

i can see getting drunk. but on the 2nd date just screams drinking problem to me.

Donna - i am in love with you. That's exactly what i was thinking...

Maybe she wanted to get drunk so u could take advantage of her... kidding!! No i dont think u overreacted...she just overdrank!!!

If she just wanted to loosen up, which I think is okay I guess, but to order three at one time. Sounds like a lush to me.

if three got her drunk, then shes prolly not a lush. the more you drink, the harder it is for you to get drunk. my 2 cents

I'd a bought her another round.......and called her a CAB.....

I would've reacted in much the same way as you did; in shock and disgust. Maybe that might happen on the first date (if she didnt care for you and wanted to enjoy herself, as horrible as that sounds) but by the second date you figure she has a little bit of interest at least.
She made a fool of herself. |

|
i would have done the same

No think you were a real gentalman and did not take advantage of the situation and YES you did the right thing. If I were on a date he drank himself stupid like that I would not have even said things are not working out. I would tell him, "It was nice knowing you" and ended that way.

just to clairify a little bit it was more like four rounds of drinks.
thanks all i just dont want to get into something where a drinking problem comes with it. |
