Australia's about to have an election to vote in a new Prime Minister...
Do we go with the one whose been hanging around for the past 11 years...John the Coward, formerly known as John Howard? Or do we vote for Kevin the Dudd, formerly known as Kevin Rudd? Decisions, decisions..... NOT...........two choices, idiot A or idiot B. |

Hmm, considering we're going to have the same problem here in a year or so, I have no answer for you. Maybe we should start our own country

That's what started this whole debacle...some bright spark thought this island was deserted...

Who does Rupert Murdock tell you to vote for?...
John The Coward, Bill...The Liberal Party, rather than the Labor Party...Kevin the Dudd.
and it's (Rupert Murdoch) in case people want to blackle or google him... |
Since John The Coward is a known ally of our own despot King George, I will go with Kevin the Dudd.

Thanks S1ow, and it is like that, sadly. One of the differences I have noticed between Australia, and the US, is we HAVE to vote...there's a fine if we don't the first couple of times, then some incarceration time if we continue not to vote... and well... I am looking at the orange jumpsuit again, if I don't vote.. |
I vote Jess for PM! She will let me in the country for free!

Yikes! Well.. I suppose that is one way to keep the poll numbers up. You at least have the "write in". If your only two choices are incompetent or impotent...then vote for someone more relevant, like Bugs Bunny or Skippy the Kangaroo. |

We don't have that box to tick on the ballot paper, Jistme...
and although we do have preferential votes, with the minor parties, unfortunately, those votes go to the two major parties...which sucks big time... |

Yup..from the looks of it, you are right. If you do write in Skippy, then the ballot is not counted, and niether party benifits... according to some information I found on the subject. However.. you will not be threatened with a fine or imprisonment, if you do vote Skippy. |

It's tomorrow...and the stoooopid propaganda machine is hard at it..
It's like the emperors new clothes thing all over again... It's insulting for these political pontificators to assume we are such idiots...we know we are screwed no matter which way we turn...they are better off handing out lollies.. |
can we say write in
if everyone wrote in someone if they did not go for a party candidate imagine the effect but most are just to lazy so they sit at home saying my vote don't count and then bitsh and complain all the time but hey what do i know |
Actually no Robin, most do...
However I don't... I have written in, I have picketed, I have protested, I have looked at standing for local government, and moving up the chain, into state and federal politics... I have been incarcerated for boycotting the voting.. I have paid the fines, and I will do more time if I dont vote again... we HAVE to vote here. |
