On Thursday , some immigrants staged a day without the contributions provided by them on a day to day basis, aside from a stress free drive to work,(because a lot of the bad drivers stayed home)) it went pretty much unnoticed .although I don't agree with the reason they did this I will give them a thumbs up for the peaceful way they demonstrated. They did not burn American flags, they didn't rob or lute anyone's property. They didn't throw rocks or spit on police, they didn't attack anyone, they held signs and protested , period. Sounds like some of our own citizens could take a tip from these hard working proud people.

Yeah, that is a game we play with Canada every year. They are our friends. Kind of like a mock invasion. They invade one of our boarder towns one year, we invade one of theirs the next year. We do it with paintballs. Nobody actually gets hurt, just some ruined cloths. Both sides never know what town will get it until it starts, so it has the surprise element.

Then we all go out to dinner and drink either Molson Beer ( if in Canada) or Budweiser ( if in the U.S.)

I read an article once (can't recall the source) where all the low pay jobs were no longer staffed and society collapsed in on itself. If I recall correctly it was a pro-robotic article but it did suggest that once a robotic workforce were established that people would stagnate.

The right to assembly is a United States Right that is granted to our citizens. Illegal invaders should never be afforded our rights no matter the nature of their assembly. It takes away from the benefit of becoming a citizen. It also dishonors all who gave their lives to afford us those rights.

Immigrant is not necessarily illegal immigrant. Legal immigrants are granted 'permission' to be in this country and 'accept' the conditions of employment. There are many of our nation-born citizens that also accept the same conditions of employment.

so, a day without any whole group (race, income status, immigration status) would have significant negative impact

even a day without 'illegal' immigrants, as that status applies to several different scenarios besides just people 'sneaking' in,,,,

as far as right, there are those who argue they aren't given by the government , in which case, ones citizenship status would not be a condition of one having said rights,,,

If all of the illegals were to leave tomorrow, it would have a effect on the economy, but that would be a short term effect.

Would some restaurants close down.. yep.. and for every one that does, 3 new one will open up. Supply and demand stop for... nothing.

American business has never stopped.. thru wars, recessions, global business changes.. you name it.. American business has been thru it.. and survived.. nicely.

Business owners would adapt to the change ( like any change) and make it work. We have been doing that forever.

It would be nothing more then a short term labor shortage. which by the way, we have gone thru countless times over the last 40 years.

just about every impact is SHORT TERM,,,

no one suggested America would NEVER recover, but it would be changed into an entirely different society,,,
