Hey Minglers!
Just looking for some prayers and good thoughts. I am having surgery on Wednesday and I am freaking out! I've never had surgery, never even broken a bone, so I'm just looking for some positivity. Thank you. |

To tell you the truth I had surgery for the first time 2 years ago.. and I was very nervous, actually scared.
But the fact is, you go in.. the put the intravenous in and that is the last thing you see. In my case the surgery lasted 6 hours, but it felt like a minute. The aftercare was tremendous Try not to be nervous.. good luck |

dont worry miss bunny
they are going to knock you out with anesthesia you wont even be aware of what happened until you wake up well after the surgery you have an anesthesiologist who is going to be in the room with you and they will NOT let you wake up during it (I know because I was freaked out by that one concept of it) then, when you wake up from it, for a day or 2 all you are going to want to do is sleep. they give you meds for any sort of pain you had and, a few days later, you are going to start feeling a lot better so try not to worry but I will keep you in my prayers |

Wishing you a speedy recovery pink... When my brother had surgery it took him about 3 hours after he was in recovery to come out of the anesthesia. Then he slept for 3 days straight. He doesn't even remember those days.

I have a lot of experience with this. I have had many operations and they were all bad. When I was young, I reacted badly to anesthesia and got me very sick.

I hope everything goes well in your surgery, Pink
Best wishes for a quick recovery |

Myself I have had at least 5 surgery's 2 in the last 5 years.....
All I can say once they have the IV in and they come in and say they are going to give you something to make you sleepy be ready for night night time.... I have never had any side effects from being put under... Last two surgery's I had once I woke up within a couple hours I was heading home.... Just follow instructions on eating so you don't get a upset stomach the first day.... Just eat small amounts and nothing real heavy after... Once I have gotten home after the surgery's I hit the bed and was out like a light for a few more hours.. It wears you out so get your rest..and lots of water.. |
