I have no plans for Thanksgiving, at the moment.

Well, being strong in my native influence, i refused to celebrate it. It would only remind us of the theft of our land, and the betrayal of white governments. Once i was married a couple of times, it became a mandatory thing. Now i celebrate it a week after. the meal is just a dinner and fellowship with friends.

I understand that, Rob. Last year I was trying to explain to someone from another country what Thanksgiving was in the United States. I think when the Pilgrims came from England, they wanted religious freedom and to start over. The native Indians welcomed them and shared a feast so they gave thanks to all the new things they found in this land.

hmmmm for over 20 years I was the head mama in charge
did all the cooking and baking but... now I have a daughter-in-law that wants to do it at her house this year |
