Lol.ok.. quick little question..
When you date someone does it always have to be going somewhere.. That is!.. are you looking for the ring on your finger..all the time.. are do you date just to keep from being lonely.. . Just to have a companion.. . What category do you fit into..? Dating for companionship not wanting a long-term commitment..? Or are you looking to have a ring put on it.. very serious about the end of game.?.lol.. Or perhaps you're not certain you're just along for the ride and see what happens..?.. Or perhaps you date just for the fun.. The experience of meeting new people..?.. And has your outlook on dating changed.. perhaps you started off just for fun but now you or more serious.. Minded.. or vice a versa...lol .. And.. one other thing..lol.. does your age determine.. your agenda.. Because let's face it apart from Blondie and Sofia.. none of us are getting any younger |

Um..when you read a book do you read all but the last chapter?? |

umm. what's a book?.. Lol.. I always start off by reading the end first... don't like to waste my time it is not going to end good..wink. (I have been known to do that also :-) I think every relationship has a life of its own, a beginning and an end and it is us who change along the way. Meaning, you can't call it..early on :-) |

Bottom line, especially as you get older, is that if you are getting together with someone and having a serious relationship it will end up going two ways:
1) It will end by mutual understanding or a bad break up 2) You will be spending your life together. If all you want is a 'friends with benefits' situation, then you will look for that and probably get it (though that is not without its own set of complications). However any serious relationship can really only go those two ways. Something to think about before you really hook up seriously for someone. |

From No1PhD
"..hmm.2 ways.. together or apart..hmmm very insightful.. " Exactly my point. If you think you can have a serious relationship and not take into consideration that eventually it will have to be forever, the you better make sure she is cool with it when you decide to go your separate way from her. |

Your initial post was "When you date someone does it always have to be going somewhere.. " Well, what do you think? Who just dates seriously for '***** and giggles'? Either it is serious or it isn't. If it is serious then it better be going somewhere even if it is just because of 'loneliness' and 'companionship'. If it not going somewhere, it will eventually end. Where is the fine line between 'player/serial dater' and committed relationship? And if it is committed there really is only one way to go. |

Forever would be nice, but I know how hard a relationship can be.....so I will settle for a right now, and see how each day goes....as for marriage, no thx, done that twice already.

..well... being there done that as well..lol..but.. not closed off to it..
If everything.. came together... I do think however women need the security of marriage more than men.. I would be happy to be in a relationship and never have to get married.... but if my partner felt the need for that type of solid commitment... I would do what pleases her..... I know. I'm such a giver..lol.wink |

SOME women may still desire the 'security' that marriage is supposed to give
as in "cementing the bonds" an outward symbol of our love and committment for all the world to see |

It's a forever promise to one another.. You are for me and I am for you... forever...and FOREVER...lol.. |

My tip of the day ... always size up a man before putting a ring on him otherwise his circulation may be compromised Are you looking for a ring or just a companion..hmmm. |
