Claim: Clintons 'Got Rich' Off Poor Haitians Following Earthquake Tragedy

The claim: the Clintons defrauded Haitians out of "billions of dollars" in relief funds raised by the Clinton Foundation for the purpose of rebuilding Haiti following its devastating earthquake in 2010.

In January 2015 a group of Haitians surrounded the New York offices of the Clinton Foundation. They chanted slogans, accusing Bill and Hillary Clinton of having robbed them of “billions of dollars.”
Two months later, the Haitians were at it again, accusing the Clintons of duplicity, malfeasance, and theft. And in May 2015, they were back, this time outside New York’s Cipriani, where Bill Clinton received an award and collected a $500,000 check for his foundation.

“Clinton, where’s the money?” the Haitian signs read. “In whose pockets?” Said Dhoud Andre of the Commission Against Dictatorship,

"We are telling the world of the crimes that Bill and Hillary Clinton are responsible for in Haiti," Andre said.

In 2010, Haiti suffered a 7.0 earthquake that left more than 200,000 people dead and 1.5 million people ravaged without a home, place of work, adequate food, medicine or shelter in which to find safe harbor.

Where did it go? It did not escape the attention of the Haitians that Bill Clinton was the designated UN representative for aid to Haiti. Following the earthquake, Bill Clinton had with media fanfare established the Haiti Reconstruction Fund. Meanwhile, his wife Hillary was the United States secretary of state. She was in charge of U.S. aid allocated to Haiti.

Together the Clintons were the two most powerful people who controlled the flow of funds to Haiti from around the world. Haitian deals appeared to be a quid pro quo for filling the coffers of the Clintons. The Haitian protesters noticed an interesting pattern involving the Clintons and the designation of how aid funds were used. They observed that a number of companies that received contracts in Haiti happened to be entities that made large donations to the Clinton Foundation.

The Haitian contracts appeared less tailored to the needs of Haiti than to the needs of the companies that were performing the services. In sum, Haitian deals appeared to be a quid pro quo for filling the coffers of the Clintons.

All I have to say about Haiti is that I really feel for those people. Constantly in turmoil, every storm kills 1,000's. total poverty, disease hunger.

And just a stones throw away from us.

I read where Hilary's brother, Tony Rodam, got a rare lucrative gold mining permit in Haiti. The Haitian Parliament has put it on hold because Haiti only receives 2% of the money from the mines.

Any actual evidence yet, or just accusations?

Previously there was the scandal of the govt getting money and then keeping 94 per cent then letting the remainder go to the people so I would not send money to any Haitians as it would be stolen from the people who are supposed to help....

It's either the funds never made it or it was pillaged when it got there. Tons of people gave, myself included.

I believe it will come back 10 fold to haunt them. Maybe not in this life but it will. That is a crime against humanity.

good article, this video goes into more detail of how the Clinton's cheated the Haitian people out of their relief money and how they covered their corrupt trails. They left the Haitian people with nothing and that's what they will do here if she is elected.

The Corrupt Clintons never miss an opportunity even a disaster to line their pockets. The stench of corruption follows them every where they go.

Billions of dollars?That doesn't sound right. I know tar paper to replace their houses would only cost a few thousand dollars. Or is this another government scam where we go in and build them nice stuff just so they can ruin it? Every picture I've ever seen of Haiti never had a decent looking building in it.

Right now for them to have clean water and waste disposal would be nice stuff. Many are still dying of Cholera. I think the last count of total donations was around 9 Billion dollars. Where did it go?

Maybe we can check the Clinton emails and find out where the $ is? Oh ya, that's right those have all been distroyed! What's the next step? Let them all come into the US so we can put them in our housing and feed them while they are out commiting crimes on our streets? That seems to be the American thing to do!
