There are so many little things that make me happy that I'm not sure what to write!
A smile. A child laughing. My dog when he greets me. Someone holding a door for me. Someone saying thank you because I held a door for them. Catching all the green lights. A wink. So many more...... |

My mate writes me notes from the dog: "I ruv you Mommy, ruff ruff, can I have ice cream?" Soufie! You lucky girl! This is one of the sweetest things I ever heard .. It always makes me a wee misty-eyed. I find them all over, when least expected. Then I roll everyone for a hug :-) |

When people BRAG about their immediate family.
Not their Grandfathers successes, but their little girl learning to ride a bike, or how cool their wife is. |

There are many things in my life that give me joy.
I get really happy when it thunderstorms. Actually, excited is the proper word for it. The more severe the better. I witnessed a lighting strike across the street in the woods once. The power of nature is awesome! My duplex has a metal roof - rain is music. I love that moment when an infant's eyes begin to register the world around them. The innocence of seeing things for the first time gives me shivers of joy. My morning coffee makes me happy. Helping someone smile makes me happy. Fixing things that are broken makes me happy. The more intricate the happier I am when it is fixed. Cleaning and organizing a mess makes me happy. Being a mechanic all my life I always wanted a business where my team goes from shop to shop cleaning and organizing peoples shops. From degreasing floors to setting up paper flows to showing them how to track productivity. Clothes that make me look good and fit just right. Making love with someone special all night then waking up and making love all day too. (Making love is not just sex) Seeing want for me in my lover's eyes. That moment when my love for someone overrides everything else. Cooking a yummy meal for someone that likes it. "I'm happy when water is wet The sky is blue and I'm with you." Being near someone that wants to be near me. Playing a FPS where I get to blow stuff up. Tetris Combos - the bigger the better. The smell of melting snow in the country in the spring thaw. Sitting in the surf when the water is warm at night with a million stars shining down. Discovering a cave when trailblazing in my 4x4 truck. Watching children play. Making the putt in miniature golf, Getting a strike when bowling, BINGO I am generally content with life and I experience many moments of joy and happiness. |
