Topic: Guy Code vs Gal Code | |

Personally I don't like the battle of the sexes, but what the hell.. Whose code is better and why?

My CrackerJacks did not come with a decoder ring!
But if it did, I want the male one, I already know all the female codes. Then for a brief time, I would know if remotes really do emit pheromones. |

Personally I don't like the battle of the sexes, but what the hell.. Whose code is better and why? Hummm.. I live by my own code. (Morals, ethics, spirituality, cultural & family value systems). However, I have seen the 'girl code' (As someone else mentioned). But I would add... No man would want that code. Because it does NOT exist. Maybe the knifes in our backs are invisible to men in a 'guy code', or men assume another guy put it there. * DUN DUN DUUUUN!!! (Dramatic Sound Effect): http://youtu.be/cphNpqKpKc4/ 00:04 * |

Since this boat is sinking, lets give an example. Two guys are buds. One guy has a girfriend. The other guy is happy for his friend. Time passes, the couple breaks up. The gal sasheys up the the exes buddy and says we should go out. Guy code is bro's before shmoes! And he tells her to look for another monkey. Why is girl code, hmmm, this is ok? Is guy code, wrong??

Rob...thanks for bringing this up....I am in exactly the same position...My buddy's ex....they broke up like 10 years ago...and I did not know her then.....is trying to trap me into a deeper relationship...we are good friends now, because she is still friends with my buddy....I would honestly like to , she is a keeper....but I do not want to upset my friend, who has a new gal at the moment....Am I screwed or what???

Is there a 'buddy scale', and where does he fit on it? He may tell you to 'go for it', shake his head and think you're an idiot.. who knows until you have a chat with him.. do you feel enough towards her that you're willing to relinquish his friendship, if it goes that way..? hmmm, what would a double date look like? |

Yup, it's a sticky situation. Add, hang in there.

Yup, my buddy knows all about what we do ....which ain't too much....after all we are at the friends stage... I used the "trap me" term very loosely....When last I spoke to him....he kinda encouraged me , by saying she has the "hots" for me....and when I questioned her about what that meant, she was surprised her ex even mentioned that...so I took it as a good, go for it stupid sign...Not a chance a double date could be even remotely possibly......we move in totally different social circles.....that is a good thing for me at least....Come to think of it...if it came to a choice....I would definitely, pick the woman.....naturally.....YOLO!! |
