With photo, and the more photos in your profile the better in my opinion. This way you are giving as much information as possible to help the other person decide if they want to meet you, therefore more likely to make contact to find out more about you. Welcome to Mingle2 and good luck in your search. |

My experiences with dating sites are limited.. When I first started the process I was a bit apprehensive about posting them, I would post one or two photos and filling in information was just as fearsome.. Soon being discouraged I went to the other extreme and posted as many pictures as I could.. and tried to answer and fill out as much information as I could to describe myself.. the result was astounding.. I gathered the increased amount of photos made me seem more confident and taking the time to fill out the profile showed I was serious about finding someone.. So Balls to the wall! and good luck

Pictures are often not very truthful, so I don't have a lot of confidence in them, but I need to see them to at least become interested.

I won't turn down the opportunity to chat with anyone regardless of the photo issue. As for my interest in that person, I have to side with peggy122 and admit I'm a little apprehensive as to how truthful the photo is to begin with, so i always let them initiate the conversation.

Sadly, IMO, the greatest tool in the online dating toolbox is overlooked by many....and that is the forums. Where else can you get a feel for someone than here where you can see them interact with others? And yet, so many pass on this part of the site. |

Not every question asked here will be strictly about Mingle. (many of the Q I ask, have nothing to do with M2). And not everyone is up for spending hours and hours in the forums to get to know ppl. And for many, that part is not interesting as a dating tool, because they live too far away. I'm one of those. No Dutch ppl in the forums, not even a handful of English, so what use is it to me other than to chat? |
