Topic: Where White People Meet | |
---|---|
Some of you may have heard of this dating website. Of course, there is some controversy about it. People think it is a racist website (even though there is a Where Black People Meet dating site and other site for such things). People are of course saying the site is racists because white people should be open to dating all non-whites. Whether it is racist or not is irrelevant. Why does anybody have the right to tell people who they should be attracted to and date? This bothers me because the people who have a problem with this are not applying gender to their logic. They are not saying "Everyone should be bisexual. It's wrong not to only want to date people of one sex." Guess what? Being straight means you are excluding half the population. Having ethnic preferences excludes less people.

Believe it or not Mandy, you can select the racial preference on Mingle2 and I don't really hear any complaint about that. I don't think anyone should have the right to dictate to another who that person can or cannot date.

Maybe check which race is protesting this site and learn who is really discriminating?
There are dating sites for tall people, higher educated people, fat people, so why not white people? You don't hear the dim, short and skinny people object, so why black people always have to make a fuss I don't know. They feel so under-appreciated that they over-appreciate themselves. And yeah, I'm saying black ppl, cos as far as I know, other non-white ppl usually never make such a big deal out of things. I know not every black person is like that, but many have an attitude that really sux. Maybe if everyone would start valuing themselves, all this so called racist BS would finally stop. |

Having ethnic preferences excludes less people. people have a 'right' to tell anyone anything, its called freedom of speech and people have the right to agree disagree or ignore as far as applying the sexes, being that they have OPPOSITE and COMPLIMENTARY biography,, the analogy fails the biological reality and purpose of sex exists biological reality or purpose of race, does not,, its purely social and not biological personally, there are all types of dating sites out there, being a part of one doesn't mean one isn't also a part of others so I don't care if there is whitepeoplemeet sight,, perhaps there are some people whose logic dictates that its a struggle to meet other white people on traditional sites,,,,shrugs I don't see that, but if that's what they see,, its their business |

No matter what you do some people are going to complain and say you are victimizing them. Even this thread is evidence of that. So look at who you are including when you say "people are of course saying..." It's not all people. And it's not a lot of people that actually matter in terms of having any kind of power or authority to change anything meaningful or enforce anything. Other than that the people who have a problem with this are not applying gender to their logic.
Whoever said problems or complaints had to have logic? If you're expecting "people" to behave, think, and/or argue logically you're going to be mad your whole life. |

there are sites devoted to Russian women only, Asian women, BBW's ...people over 50..in fact chances are if you googled you could find a site devote to almost any kind of label or classification

Having ethnic preferences excludes less people. I dont see anything racist about white people , meet, black people meet , Christian mingle or any other dating forum based on a preference. Preference is one of the main bases of dating . People take these things way too personally in my opinion. |

Everyone has their own preferences in who they want to date etc, so these websites cater for all tastes.
Don't see the problem myself. |

OMG! White people dating other white people of the opposite sex ..how barbaric!
How dare they do something that 'sounds like' it excludes everyone else! Hahahahahahhahahahahjahahajajajajahajajajajjmhahahhaahhaa!!!! Give me a break. All the date sites out there that are race specific, religion specific & country specific & sexual preference specific, relationship specific (including affairs) & financially & even career & hobby & sports & games specific. The site the OP Mentioned does not EXCLUDE anyone ( though they could). But it is a brilliant marketing strategy. And the couple that started it is raking in the money. And quite frankly, it is about time for that kind of site. Why not? Everyone else did. The other sites did it for profit, by exclusion, or the appearance of it No one cared & there was NO controversy. But say "White", & the Libs are at your door.. afraid that something is going on without them, because only they can exclude. * The mere mention of another date site on this site, imo is in bad taste & only promotes the other site. On other sites, this is against the rules. Hi advertising... . Lol * |

I am so naive! I have/had no idea there were dating websites dedicated to different specifities..
How many different websites does one need to be on? Do you belong to more than one BECAUSE of those specifities? I am on here only... I find something I like and stay there.. I hate change. |
