I refuse to watch anime that isn't subbed. i tried watching Naruto on Cartoon network when my comp was fried. yeah, i wanted to kill myself it was just so lame and editted.

The dub for Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist were great, but i do try to watch sub titles if i can find it =D

i been watching them strictly subbed. american VA's blow. compared to the japanese who like put real emotion into the words. maybe its just me? lol

I never liked the Japanese VA for Kuno or Ryoga in Ranma 1/2. Mostly for me it's whatever format I heard it first. Those are the "true" voices for me.

Ahh the classic subbed versus dubbed debate.
I stand on the subbed side no doubt.
Which brings up the question, is there a subbed version of Desert Punk? Cause I think I might be able to stand it if so. My friend says it's only in English though. If I cared enough I search myself, but I feel like being lazy and posing the question to the masses. =P

Speaking of Yu Yu Hakusho I am watching the first saga =D I really should be watching it subbed, but since I'm usually multitasking when I watch, I watch it dubbed. Shame me if you must =P

2 the original resident evil is deff like the second best game on playstation and one of the best of its kind.

Silent hill 2 was deff better but if you are naming ps games you have to name FFVII

I dont know if athf fits, but I just put it up there, take it or leave it, lol. And yes, I like adult swim, but I watched them before adult swim got ahold of them, all cept for athf, and Inuyasha. And I like all Silent hill, but if I had to chose one to hate, it would prolly be the the third one. Kinda lame. and I dont really like Final Fantasy, well, thats not fair, I never got into it, and they are such long games that I figure it's too late to get into them, besides, I do that that taking turns hitting each other is lame, even for game standards. lol.

they really need to do a Ninja Scroll movie.....actually, no.....they'd just **** it up......haha......how about a videogame tho?....that would be cool!....it would be easy to do as well since the plot is very videogame-ish,with all the travel to location....beat up a boss figure and his minions....travel to next location....and so on

Backing up to the issue of subbed or English versions, I've found that the subtitles retain more of the Japanese culture and the English versions are SO Americanized that it actually annoys me.

I had a roommate that thought that the English versions made far more sense, which to him meant more 'accurate'. Drove me crazy because I would prefer to watch the subtitles so I could get the cultural aspects of what was being said.

If memory serves there was 2 ninja scroll movies. the series came after the movies. the first was excellent the second was random and incomplete.... search ninja scroll and ninja resurrection.

me too. plus american actors FEEL like theyre reading a script, whereas japanese sounds better and works better. theres more conviction and rage and happiness. ntm if it gets dubbed it gets censored 2x as much,lol.

- Hellsing - [All time fave, haven't watched much of the ultimate OVA renditions tho, I only watched the older version] - If anyone likes vampire stuff and hasn't watched this yet, you NEED to watch it

- Bleach - [Sticking to the story and main plot, right now this is my favorite anime, the fillers do suck like crazy, but the espada arc is pretty sweet, the soul society arc in the beginning was sweet as hell, tho I find myself wanting to fast forward through the side character battles at times I really like this anime

- Hajjime no ippo - [dope ass anime about boxing, starts off slow but the character growth is so detailed, a good watch if you're into the boxing world]

- Berserk - [love this anime as well, there's no closure in the anime, but in the manga it continues, that's if you read manga]
