i know about 200 mexicanos,give or take,some of them legal,some of them not,not one has fled because of wrong doing. and i'm guessing when you say "forget him" you are talking of my husband,first of all i will never forget him,he is the father of my child,but i am the one,that every time i talk to him and he talks of coming back,tells him no.i remind him that i tried to help him stay here legally,but because of his actions,he made that impossible.but the love for his daughter,unfortunately,will make him deaf to my words.fanta i am not a bad person,i believe that criminals should have punishment for their crimes,but fair punishment.make them pay fines for coming ilegally,i agree,but also then give them the oppertunity to stay legally once they do so.its the process that messes things up.i have delt with immigration personally many times,the paperwork is very confusing,and expensive.you have to pay a lot of money for some of the forms,with no guarentees,and no refunds,its frustrating,and it takes way to long. perhaps we should all use our strong beliefs,both sides and try to change things where they really need to be changed.getting angry here with each other is helping nothing and no one.

That statement hits closer to home than anything I've read here. You cannot imaging how glad I am that SOMEONE said it! You've just hit on the key to this whole discussion. Illegal immigration is not only hurting, but KILLING this country.

I STRONGLY disagree.

It's NOT that illegal immigrants will do jobs that Americans won't do.

It's that illegal immigrants will do jobs a LOT CHEAPER than Americans do. And, since they're usually paid "under the table", employers don't have to fool with paperwork, Social Security, taxes, benefits, ect.

You want to come to America, fine. there are LEGAL ways to go about it. If you CAN'T come legally, there's probably a good reason why you can't.

Anyone wants to call me a racist for my post, I really don't give a rat's ass. But first, think about what I've said, and try to refute it.

I'll say it again, being an American has never came cheap! Many have paid with their life during war!

Many froze to death or starve in the wilderness that they carved this new land from, and many later were killed by Indians as they pressed our borders westward!
