I've been getting these txt messages from a number I don't recognize.
I've had a few now, all from the same number. 1st one, just on my way to the supermarket. I replied, I think you've got the wrong number. 2nd one, I saw Paul earlier, he sends his regards. I replied, wrong number again, I don't know anyone called Paul. 3rd one, thank god, I just passed that exam today. I replied, well done, but you still got the wrong number. I'm wondering what next. What 'unknown' txt messages has anyone else received. |

I did wonder if it was scam, you know the ones where if you reply it costs the earth. But after I replied to the first one I checked my credit and it did just cost the normal txt message, I have a bundle deal anyway. I've checked after each reply and it's the same, it's getting quite amusing |

I just get tired of deleting calls I know are for the previous owner of the number because we are getting the numbers recycled too fast.
And yea I do get tired of calls that are not really to me rolled into the flat rate fee I pay for my phone. |

You know what, I actually had a pretty strange experience one time. I was getting ready to go to work when I get this message on my phone, from an unknown individual saying: "Is miss C taking her cough medication at the right time? "
Wrong number sir. Later on the same day: I want to kill you. |

I don't mind them because it helps me use up my minutes that I end up losing anyway. |

Never had weird txts.. I've had this nr for yonks now, and few have it, just family and (close) friends. I don't hand it out easily.
But ... the other day I got a phone call, a really weird number. Too long to be a Dutch nr, which is 10 digits. This was at least 12 I checked online to find out the land code... turned out to be a phone call from ... Togo, Africa?!?!?! Needless to say I don't know anyone in Togo or Africa for that matter, let alone that they'd have my phone nr. Of course I didn't answer the phone. |

I don't get a lot of wrong number text messages.
But every time I've gotten a new cell phone number there's invariably about 3 months where I get constant collection calls intended for the previous owner of the number. |

I received calls and text messages a lot looking for a particular person probably the previous owner of my newly acquired number. I believe the telecoms are recycling the long time inactive numbers already especially the prepaid which are being disposed so fast by many users who change numbers so often. So bad and unfortunately whoever acquires that old recycled number will receive those unwanted calls and texts
