There are many women, I'm sure, that really know that they want children, and do that after they are married. You can't wait till you are 40 years old to find someone to marry. In some cases, there is a better age to get married. There are some people in the world that want to get married first, then have children. Nothing wrong with that.

well, I think the older someone is the more likely they are either married, widowed, or divorced negative past experiences certaily would deter a person from repeating that choice but positive ones would encourage them so I imagine ,, for those widowed, marriage would still be a positive thing that they are open to and for those divorced, it would be more likely a negative not to repeat Interesting thought and good point. But from what I've heard and noticed, widowed ppl often still have their former spouse on a pedestal, because they didn't choose to part from them. Maybe they have a more positive feeling about marriage, on the other hand side, they may not (ever) be ready to fully commit again, cos the one they lost will always be their No 1. That's what stops me from dating a widower. I simply don't go there. Someone who's divorced can at least get over it and be open to a new No 1 in his life. |

does age plays a role or prevent people from getting into marriage? no, common sense prevents men from getting into marriage- not age. common sense sets in at the age of the first Divorce, when the ex takes you for your pension, your house, car Kids and future. Quite a generalization... Not all divorces end miserably. I do not hold any hard feelings for my ex, and we actually came up with everything necessary for the divorce together, then the judge approved the divorce and the split of assets. I do believe that age can be a significant factor in marriage, and specifically the difference in ages between the couple. When you get closer to 50 ( at least for men) the thought of having children makes it difficult, do you want to be facing college tuition on a retires wage? Do you want to coach, run, and play with your teenaged child? If you have the same goals, ditection, and desires as your partner then the age difference is not as big of a factor. |

For me, I have never wanted children. I just think about why other people want to get married. I thought that by the time I was in my 40's, I should be married. I guess that I grew up with believing that marriage meant real commitment. My mother died when she was 58 and my father never dated again. That was the love of his life. he is 91 so he has not had a woman for about 30 years. I don't want that for me. I want to be in a relationship.
