It's one thing if all the hormones flooding into a guys brain due to uber attraction causes it to misfire for a second as they struggle to beat down the drumming "bangherbangherbangherbangher" thoughts and they have to work carefully to maintain normal conversation and not to just turn everything into sexual innuendo, it's something else entirely if they turn all "shy."

The latter is a socially trained phenomenon where the guy has been beaten down by his mom or other women so much (mentally, emotionally, physically, somehow) that he's ultimately scared of women, and looking for a woman to tell them what is okay to do and feel.

Men shouldn't get shy "like women do."
Women probably shouldn't get shy "like women do."
"Shy" is not a cute virtue.

There's a big difference between "like" a lady who isn't afraid to make the first move and "just doesn't read anything into it or give much of a crap either way" if a lady makes the first move or not.

No it's not wrong!!! I think if the girl feels like asking a guy out, she should go for it (after testing the waters, getting a feel if this guy is somewhat into her, etc.). If he doesn't accept/understand her move, then tough luck for him. Having said that, the girl (like men) should be ready to deal with rejection.
