When I am in those moments I don't care what is playing in the background. I had better be enjoying it enough to "not" notice. If I am noticing background noise time to get up and do something else..

If it's boring a good movie would be great!
Otherwise, do I really care?

I don't really need anything in the background if we are lost in the moment, since I don't hear anything. Sometimes it's nice to have some quiet music playing. I dated a guy that needed to stop everything and program the perfect music. For me it killed the mood.

I didn't really care what was going on in the back ground, all I wanted to know was when I could stop so that at least one of us could go to bed satisfied.

Music, nothing, or just ambient natural sounds (like windows open, camping in a tent, or whatever). No TV - if it happens to be on while we're in the mood and we don't stop to turn it off, then ok - but I don't consciously turn it on for sex.

Music can be an enhancement if it is a piece of music that your partner really likes and then you make love/have sex to the rhythm of the music - really good if the music has varying tempos, a clear building in emotion, and etc.

Things I DON'T want to hear, include the door opening and unexpected company rushing in, and anyone saying anything about calling the authorities.

Plus a halftime show consisting of cirque du soleil performing a reenactment of our best moments.

And a petting zoo.

Other than that, I think it kinda depends on when, where, why, and how we're having sex.

I mean if it's one of those "why don't you come over to my house for dinner tonight" sex things, then some light music is nice, since it's probably ambiance for the entire evening and has been playing since I got there.

But if we're having sex in a parked car then I'd rather have silence or normal distant traffic, if I'm hearing honking horns and police sirens, or kids laughing and knocking on the windows, then we're screwed...pun intended.

If I'm being woken up with sex in the morning I don't mind hearing the birds chirping and the wind sighing, but would hate morning talk radio with like Rush Limbaugh.

If it is right then chances are it will be something different in the background almost every time.

If you stop to put on music, the right show, or to light candles then the mood will probably pass.

Roll with the flow, enjoy the special person with you, and most importantly go with the moment.

The kids fighting and the sound of breaking glass..

Most prominent noise is the squeaky mattress, kinda spoils my rhythm though, hehe
