I've only recently joined Mingle2, but puzzled.

What I do not understand is why on a site where people are expecting to chat or meet someone in a specified town or locality members are reluctant to respond.
I realize one'��s profile and expectations are where judgments are initially made.

Perhaps the greater percentage of members may not be as honest or truthful as expected.
I.e. Photos, Age, Gender or Location, are fictitious or totally unrepresentative of their profile.

Would like your observations please.

i think i've ever spoken to 3/4 genuine british people on here, the rest, i fear are simply scammers from former soviet states!

I was beginning to think I'��m all alone on the forum.

The downside is, I am a real person, not some Walter Mitty character pretend to be something other than myself.

My profile describes the person I am, the photos are genuine ones of me, and if not an up to date, I will say so.

to be honest these 'local forums don't tend to be as busy as the others,

maybe try posting on the main forums? that way you get to interact with more people and more people can see you.

not sure many genuine people actually use this site (or other sites for that matter.) 9 out of 10 i have spoken to have had their accounts removed for some reason or being a scammer

there are some genuine people on here, i've met some of them, i would say it's more like 8/10
