Hang around the forums and you will meet them....

Generally if you see someone that is really eager to get an off site email, phone number, or more information without telling you anything you can create a normal persona for them they are a scammer.

If they do not answer a direct question to your previous message.

If they use long descriptive poetic professions of romance; these are often cut and paste scammer scripts you can usually find on any of the scammer buster sites.

If they are exceptionally good looking or claim to have great wealth.

Or they have some exotic job they can answer no questions about. If they are medical professionals they should be able to tell you when and were they were trained and their license number.

If they claim to be military but will not give you name rank and a mail address or they have children AND are widowed; that usually constitutes a hardship separation and they either are past military with no benefits or a fraud straight up. A USA service member will not EVER need to have money for medical care, food, phone, or basic shelter for themselves or their documented dependents. They are provided free mail to and from their stateside address and if a true emergency exists Red Cross will forward a message for free for family so no civilian "help" is needed.

Never ask for or accept gifts, money, tickets, or documents especially electronics, airline tickets, weapons, art, or vehicles from anyone on line or give them if you don't want to end up on a watch list. You will be considered a scammer or are being scammed; maybe even a terrorist.

If someone is emailing you at times that do not jive with the location they claim to live in or are reasonable for employment then you are being scammed.

I wondered in here a few years back, found the forums interesting and have been here ever since, it is free and that is rare to find these days. By the way, the wife has left, so if you know anyone that wants to buy 200 coat hangars can you let me know.

lots and lots of scammers going as far as using some1 else's picture. I asked him to take a picture of himself sticking out his tongue and send it, I asked the other to hold his left ear take a picture and send. Hmmm they couldn't,stupid scammers. Just be careful my dear
