Charlie is a really amazing guy, just not the one for me. Thankfully he feels the same way.

I think in person is the best way, so why am I on this site? Clearly for friends. I always do like to be proven wrong though. Who knows?

Oh snap! That was the quickest engagement I've ever seen.

Well, I'm here pretty much just to meet new people and chat, if it leads to a real life meeting, that's cool, but I'm not expecting anything like that.

GOT to be FRIENDS first & GO SLOW.

Oh that so happens. Twice to me of late.
One guy was about a 2 hour drive from me. Went up there for a weekend after a couple of months of IM/email/phone/snail mail. Had a fun time, but IT was so not there. We realized it and talked about it when I got home. He was feeling the same way. The hopes were great, but without the spark, not worth it. We fit each other's molds and were hoping for something that was not there. Another guy (local this time) and I met and hung out for a while. He gave me the I'm not into you talk before I could give it to him. He kept apologizing, but I was soooo relieved. Still pals with both of them. As a very sweet guy that I am seeing currently says..."Friends first, then let it breathe." That is just what we are doing and having so much fun along the way. Hugs, Jayme, email me if you need to talk. M |

Yeah, that was pretty much it. LOL, we weren't really engaged... we were just joking around. But anyway... there was absolutely no spark for either of us. It was worth a shot, and he really is a good man, just not the one that Goddess made for me. I like my country boys! I'll just go as originally planned and stay single. I wasn't even looking for that when we were talking I guess we just got carried away in idealism, I know you all know how that feels.

and on another note I was scared to death that he really did want to marry me...lol, cus I wasn't sure I could just up and elope with someone I just met...

That's good. You're not as crazy as you seemed then! Better luck next time and just try to take your time next time.

It all really comes down to the spark doesn't it? Finding that spark is not an easy thing to do.

LMAO, I'm so far from crazy, just idealistic. I'm a dreamer with my head in the clouds praying for my own little glimpse of heaven.

lol.
Us dreamers do get yanked back to earth pretty fast sometimes.... |

I see nothing wrong with meeting someone off the internet. I mean, as long as you get to know them for awhile before the meeting.

I've met a total of like... 3 ppl off the internet. The first 2 I'm still very good friends with and the first one and I even had a spark, it just didn't work out b/c of other things. Hopefully Charlie and I can still be friends, thats totally up to him.

I met my ex girlfriend off the internet and it ended up being a six year relationship. You just never know what is going to happen until you meet in person. Probably should meet in person pretty soon so expectations are not a big factor.

I think that when 2 people want so desperately to fall in love, they will fall in love with the first thing that falls in front of them........
Take is slow...... you shouldnt treat it lightly...... |
