Hi everyone, if you have some hot water, I shall make some tea.
I hope you all have had a wonderful, blessed day. Driving along the highway home this evening couldn't help but feel the Lord's presence. Fall is a wonderfuly beautiful time of year. Though it was a little chilly this morning, inside we can glow in God's grace. It reminded me of the verse of a famous hymn: O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed.. yes Lord, indeed How Great Thou Art, |

Okay, guys now we are settling in let's chat, whatever is on our heart or mind.
I would like to get to know everyone, where they are in their walk with God, the church they attend, or don't as the case may be. We can commune with God wherever we are. I was raised Church of England, fairly traditional. Since coming to the states, I visited several different churches, I wanted to explore and find out a little about them. Now, I consider myself a Christian, for me it is a personal relationship with God rather than a religion. Anyone else care to share... |

Greetings everyone...
I am back from my bike ride to the river... The sunset was absolutely gorgeous... We often get 6 - 8 months of almost nonstop blue skies with out much a cloud and the sunsets are very beautiful, if you notice from some of the photos in my profile...but, we start getting cloud activity this time of year & todays sunset was the most incredible I have seen in a while...The spectrum of colors and cloud formations were undescribably beautiful ... As I watched the sun set the horizon... I sent some prayers over for the troops serving in the war on the other side of the world... Psalms 1 verses 1-6 1~"Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, 2~ but his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night... 3~ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in its season. Whose leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper... 4~ The ungodly are not so but are like the chaff which the wind drives away... 5~ Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous... 6~ For the Lord Knoweth the ways of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish. "Now, I consider myself a Christian, for me it is a personal relationship with God rather than a religion." Ditto that! (Clicks the thumbs up emoticon) I have gone to a number of churches over the years - from Church of Christ, Calvary Chapel, Catholic, even a cult or 3, and of course - the church of the internet. Didn't matter what the church was - just the believers who I met there. For it is the community of those with a personal relationship to God who make up the church. |

Good morning everyone, I took a nap last night when the service went down for a while.
Praise be to God, it's going to be another wonderful day. We can all be praying for your missing trip FeralCat. Brown - I sent a message. Redy - nice of you to drop by - please visit at any time. I would like this to be a place where others can post a request for prayer and the folks here will be praying for them. God bless, |

I find it easier to keep track, when the posts are not too lengthy.
I am beginning to really enjoy the psalms. Isn't it wonderful how people wrote them, praising God, for His mercy, His love, His Grace. Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits-- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:1-5 A thought for everyone: How well do you know the Bible? (This is from my bible study - where I shall be this evening). Share if you will. For myself - I am still working on it. I have read it, I must say the New Testament a lot more than the old. Every time I go to it I learn something new. I think I shall need more than a lifetime before I know as much as I need. God bless, |

Good morning and praise the Lord for this most beautiful day. Im really glad this is taking off so well....And I am hoping that by the Grace of God this will be the longest thread in exsistance.....My missions trip to India will probaby be for about 3 weeks....I can't be away from my family any longer then that.
YOUR VOICE What a wonderful day when I sat in your church. I knew I had found, What I had long searched. The answers I longed for had come from your voice. As you preached God's word, I started to rejoice. What a glorious blessing The Lord gave to me. When He sent me your way, and you helped me to see. You see Pastor we had met once before. As you were comforting my parents, outside a hospital door. In that hospital my nana lay in a room. Waiting with patience For the Lord to take her home. Home to a place far better than here. Home to the Lord, and I knew He was near. I sat with her on that very day. I knew she was leaving, so I started to pray. Please Lord, I said don't take her from me. I needed her more, than He did you see. Or so I thought and I was wrong. He was coming for her, It wouldn't be long. Dear Pastor I heard what you said. As you spoke with my parents, but I heard with my head. My heart was not listening to you on that day. I was so wrapped up, in needing her to stay. Nana did leave us the very next day. The angels came down, and carried her away. And as the days passed I pondered your words. I wasn't listening that day, but on this day I heard. The Lord had it planned when He sent me your way. And I knew what that plan was, on that precious day. He needed me to hear you and to listen this time. As you spoke of God's Word, and this day I did mind. And as you spoke on that very day. I felt the Lord with me, I found the right way. I need Him with me every day of my life. I can't go this alone, things wouldn't be right. I thank God for you every day when I pray. I thank Him and praise Him, for sending me your way. He knew what I needed and what I needed was Christ. and I now know with that, comes everlasting life. God Bless and keep each and everyone of my new Christian brothers and sisters.......and it's so refreshing not to have anyone debating or bashing.....Thank you to Britty for suggesting this thread....and I HEART YA ALL DEBBIE |
