A man without purpose, is like a ship with no anchor.
Tossed and turned with every wind and wave. Do you chase after the wind? Or do you find yourself a harbor? |
|

Where's your sense of adventure?

Do you chase after the wind? Or do you find yourself a safe harbor?
I learn how to sail or drive the boat and make the best decisions I can with the tools I have available. A man without purpose, is like a ship with no anchor.
I think it would be more apropos to say "a man without purpose, is like a ship with no GPS, maps, navigator, or captain that knows what they're doing, starting their voyage in the middle of the ocean." It's not as poetic, though. |

Where's your sense of adventure? You can still chase after the wind...but would you do it without an anchor? I took out the word "safe" ...you never know if the port of call is ever really safe or not to dock on.,.. |

A man without purpose, is like a ship with no anchor. Tossed and turned with every wind and wave. Do you chase after the wind? Or do you find yourself a harbor? seems like there's a happy medium between the two... i wouldn't travel to Iran, but i hear the Philippines is nice this time of year... |

I know from experience that an anchor will sink a ship in bad weather..You gotta roll with it..

keep your hands on the helm..
eyes on the horizon during the day.. stars(heavens) at night for direction.. chasing the wind? if one wants to be philosophical about it.. I guess, one just need to make sure you know where you are going in life and stay in control.. Safe? Anchor. Harbor.. Caution? faith. Stability. robbed you of the thrill and independence.. a boat in harbor is safe.. but that is not what boats are built for.. |
