I'm thinking I never imagined I'd be bonding with a 12 year old about lizards, iguanas and the crickets they eat. when he took his pet iguana out of the terrarium and asked if I want to pet it, I really wanted to say no. but since this is something important to him, I made myself get over it and touched the iguana. it was different than I imagined.
