Why do people put no answer to martial status?? Just tell the truth

No answer isn't a lie is it ? Perhaps the situation is complicated for any number of reasons and they want to start talking so they can explain themselves properly ? I would still message someone who had no answer,as long as they had taken the time to write something on their profile.But i would ask about their marital status very soon and make my mind up after that...

that is true, it isn't a lie, but I do prefer it when men state there marital status.

with saying that, even if they have answered marital status I still ask, because so many men have put divorced when there just separated I have found.

of all the thousands of messages I have received on this site in the 3 years I've been here, I can count on one hand which were not from Nigerian scammers... and of those few, all of them were either married or had some weird fettish or just wanted a free place to stay when they visit Spain .. lol, great site! :)))))))

Although I'm not good at judging, a deeper rumination of 'your' post gives me the impression that your view is faulty! If someone chooses the no answer option pertaining to her/his marital status, then it doesn't (and shouldn't) necessitate one to infer that 'that' particular person is lying! To put it simply: She/He has chosen to abstain from revealing her/his marital status..


I'd say that people who abstain from such revelation, are far more truthful than the ones who misguide others, exploring their profiles..At least, the no answer option, doesn't misguide others in any manner whatsoever..

People can choose what info they list on their profile...whether its based on truth or fiction? Up to them but lets not over complicate this people.

Sometimes that's just the automatic answer if someone didn't do that question.

Sometimes people are in a hurry to fill out their profiles or just don't pay that much attention.

So they skip questions.

And it's not like a credit card number.

If you don't answer it doesn't refuse to set up your profile or move on to the next step.

It just uses the top choice or auto choice in the drop down menu list.

Which can be "no answer."

So it might not be that people "put" no answer, so much as "no answer" wasn't changed from the starting settings.

Same thing as having no picture.
