So what I had wished I had known when I was in my 20s |

Well when I got married and we started not getting along I would not of stayed married to him. I only think of this now in my 60s because I am a widow now. And I see I am strong and can make it on my own. |

That I don't have to say yes to every one who ask me to help them. I can say no. |
|
|

That you simply cannot write a check and expect the bank to just pay for it.

That the worst thing you think could happen does sometimes, but you survive it and move on

At 20? Take care of your credit score. Use credit, but sparingly. You don't want to try buying your first house with a lousy credit score, having some old stuff to "clean up" first, and getting a crappy rate just because you were STUPID!

That and MRS. is not a degree. Go to college and stay put until you finish. You can still learn from experience but without the diploma you will work harder, get paid less, do with out more, and have less credibility in the world. And that is a whole lot harder as you get older than it was when you were young.

The only true regret I have that I WOULD change if I could is to pay off the mortgage when I could have.
