Because I'm not in a hurry anymore. I realized that the right person for me will not want to rush me into anything.

I'm single because:
1. Currently unemployed - therefore not getting out & about to actually see & be seen by men I might be attracted to. Not really checking in on OLD, since I spend more time on job boards than cruising profiles. 2. Not attracted to anyone I have seen so far in OLD or IRL - I have a preferred physical type & very few fit it. 3. Apparently not attracting males IRL (on the few occasions I am out & about), even if they are not my type. Apparently my own physical type is not attractive to the opposite sex. 4. Super small social circle comprised of all married/partnered women that can't introduce me to any men (or job opportunities). 5. No interest in NSA sex so no outlet for meeting men thru that. (unless you are a hiring manager?, then maybe I can overcome my distaste but I need to be hired first LOL!) |

The ones who match to me don't know how to write a message. Too shy for my liking.
The ones I actually WANT to engage I get ignored by. Too cold. These days I only write them ONCE and move on if i don't get a response good or bad within 3 days to a week. I learned my lesson a while ago: NEVER chase after them. Not unless they want to be chased. My legs are too tired anyway, so I'll be in the lounge drinkin' a Dissaronno on the rocks if anybody needs me.

You are single because not a single opposite gender finds you attaractive enough with whom you met till now or there were instances in which they have some better option than you. This is the factual harsh reality of life because every living soul wants superior mate for mating not inferior or you might be behaving like those, not giving importance to person who want to get commit with you. So try to enhance your personality to the next level and don't get upset over this because there are numerous people who falls in your category including all people presents on this website, me also. For me that is not the problem at all..of course some guys won't find me attractive but I never had an issue about looks or about being social. But what I hear from most guys I know it has to do with me being too independent but I am not. For people who have been alone since day one they will understand. That's why some of us are single. Estelle ^^^^^ You make a great point here. For myself also, "Independence " , real & perceived IS an issue with romantic relationships, maybe many or all, relationships. Examples: 1977- "Why did you decide to go to college? To look for a husband?" * And we broke up * 1988- " What do you mean, you are keeping your maiden name ? * Had to get new friends & put family in check * 1993- " What do you mean you want to live alone? " * Divorce, all but 2 people are shocked * 2003- " What do you mean your relocating ?" * New life new everything* 2015- " Why did you say that? I'm going to have to tame you " * And I left him* EACH - Major decision for MY life & what I wanted & was best for ME... there was a man, friends & family... fighting me & trying to stop me. I did it my way That's why I'm single. And I would do it again.

After great thought I have come to the conclusion my knight in shinning armour has not yet shown up.
Maybe he lost his way or feeding his face with the chocolate he brought for me. Maybe my chick shed was too much for him. Ooooh hope hes not in still in there. He better hurry up or I'm off. Lol |

Because beginning in 1995 He.took a job as merchant marine and left me and our 5 year old son for three months,five,sometimes 6 in row
because as he spent more time away he got more controlling of finances the kids and me because he put demanded I handle.everything while he was gone but then resented that strength and.independence when he was home because if I.cried.and showed emotion was told to.sleep on.couch when i.threatened divorce was told no man would want me and all I.was cut.out for was being truck.stop waitress because I was allowed to.be.funny just not funnier than he was,laugh but not too loudas to draw.attention told not to dye my hair or wear make up and only baggy clothes. told to take classes online but only leave house to.takeee.kida school or go.church.or.do.shopping |
