am a Hindu from India....whenever i get chance , i fast along with my muslim friends for Ramazan. At the end of the fast I get to eat mutton biriyani
 . They prepare very tasty dishes. So in India we hindus, muslims, christians, punjabis, budhists,jains....we are all brothers.

Op .. It is not my objective to demean the religion of Islam ... It is certainly a religion in conflict ... Many on mingle state Islam as their religion and I am not judging or disrespecting their choice . Would love to see input from anyone who can show me the true meaning of Islam

JESUS CHRIST is NOT a prophet. He is GOD on Earth & the one & ONLY Messiah. And left the / HIS Holy Spirit with us. To Jews, he is yet come. & is also The ONE & TRUE- The Messiah. Muhammad is NOT a prophet, by ANY Jew or Juedo- Christian view. He was human. ALL secs & denominations of Christianity ( RC, Protestant, Orthodox, etc), come from JUDAISM. And Judaism ONLY.

What I fail to understand is all you religious freaks on Mingle, yes freaks is what I think you are, constantly bashing gays and each others religions.
There is nothing much religious about most of you. The very fact that you constantly try to shove your holy books in peoples faces make you worse than the people that you think are wrong. How dare you criticize gays, how dare you criticize Islam, when Christians have killed millions over the years, yes I'm a catholic by the way. All this verse this and Gospel that ******** is pathetic. God said this and God wants that is you trying to turn people to your beliefs by criticizing others for the life they lead. God wants famine, God wants paedos to kill kids, God wants Isis running amok in the middle east killing thousands, God wants Catholics and protestants in Ireland to kill each other for years, I could go on and on but the truth is none of you freaks know what God wants. You just take comfort in your ******** books because it makes you feel good and you hope that if there is a God, and its a big if, that he will think that you've been a good little boy or girl while on earth and so you'll enter the kingdom of heaven. Most of you need to look at yourselves and think about how warped your views are. But don't forget, say what you like and do what you like but go to Confession on Sunday and all will be forgiven, pathetic. |

Habeeb, what I do remember from my reading was how Islam honored the mother in the Islamic Quran - taught about taking care of the poor and that teaching was an important tool for everyone! A little about what got me started on that journey was my interest in Buddhism and someone challenged me on 'what was the oldest faith and how we could prove it'! Sadly...while most Christians love to argue that the 'Faith Race' began with the 'OLD TESTAMENT'; that was pre-dated and loads of plagiarism from the scholars & teaching of Confucius and time lines have proven 'THE BIBLE' to be wrong! Long - long before the old testament was even a scroll hidden away in some jug - to be translated by more men and rewritten for the King James version of the Bible! __________________________________ 1- Religion or Faith (two different things) is NOT a race. 2- Christians do NOT claim religion started with the Old Testament. 3- The Holy Bible is NOT plagiarism stolen from Confucius. Facts: 1- It is the Hebrew year 5775 2- The Torah is at LEAST 3313 yrs old 3- The Buddhist calendar varies by nation. 4- There is a 543 yrs difference between the Buddhist calendar & (our) Gregorian calendar. 5- Confucius was born 551 BC died 479 BC. in Qufu- China. Birth name- Kong Que. He was a philosopher, teacher & a political figure. NOT a prophet of any kind. 6- Both the Holy Bible & the Quaran are " canonised" texts. 7- The Quaran was only canonised in 650 AD. 8- Muslims believe the Quaran was communicated from an angel named "Gabriel" to Muhammad beginning when he was FORTY to his death. That is TWENTY THREE years of dictation from an angel. 9- Muhammad died in 632 AD 10- The Quarran is ONLY 650 yrs old . And written 18 yrs AFTER Muhammad's death. 11- Islam is the YOUNGEST religion 12- The Christian Church existed 300-500 BEFORE Roman Catholic Church in, - PAGAN Rome. 13- Hinduism is OVER 4,000 years old. Get out the calculators

I only have one more thing to day, and then I'm done. I will not get into a debate on this topic today. Most of the time, sure, but I just woke up and not in the mood.
Instead of arguing which religion is better or if Islam is violent or not. How about you give some actual scientific evidence for the existence of a god. Only then can a debate of which religion (if any) is the correct one will have any meaning. PS - If you would like to have a debate on the existence of god, message me. I will answer you after I've had my first Mt. Dew and in a better mood. |

Atleast Islam has overlooked the marketing strategies adopted by some other religions .. I.e. the practise of . Door to door knocking To spread the word of their prophet ... Like the Mormon religion .. Laughing .. Phew .. and Please don't knock at my door

Shalom  Neglecting that bible study hasn't been your finest hour; Jesus was called many - many things and "PROPHET" was one of them - born of human body - from a woman womb makes him a 'MAN'!
And yet for all the religious blathering - yada-yada-yada About 'MY' FAITH IS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE's...there is more in common with the oldest written texts and data then there are that separate them and yet Christians assume they are ALL KNOWING and have the right highway to heaven! 
We'll all end up in the same place and what a happy reunion that will be: Muslim/Islamic/Jew/Gentile/Buddhist etc., etc., etc.,... and yes...even the worst sinners; because all they have to do is confess/repent and they to shall go to heaven! And there's nothing anyone can do about that
