Wow! And I thought I was selective! As long as he has good personal hygiene and his house doesn't reek, I'm cool. Unless he's a serial killer. scared

I agree with a lot of what you've said ((Crystal)). I'm also a Taurus and my husband a Virgo and he was definitely not a clean freak. I'm not either as although I like my house clean, it doesn't have to be spotlessly tidy all the time. Like you say - you an spend your whole life cleaning and there are better things to do. I wouldn't bring a man home though as I have kids unless I thought he was a keeper. As for his house, well I would be very concerned if it was dirty - that's probably the only thing that would put me off apart from loads of animals or lots of porn. He wouldn't need porn if he was dating me.

This is me too.

I'm not a clean-freak, but not filthy either. A little dust is certainly ok, but actual "dirt" like animal/human waste, etc. IS A DEAL BREAKER!!

If a guy invited me to his house...for a date...id expect at least the decency of him tidying it up a bit...seems only proper...
..
I wouldn't invite someone for a visit if my house was a mess either... Except for unavoidable circumstances...but i think id ask him to stay outside for a bit until i get the living or dining room a bit presentable looking first...
....

Now if the house was a mess because i happen to need some extra lifting...or some repair work...and he happened to offer..hmm...id make extra good coffee...and sammiches..

a clean freak for me doesn't mean cleaning all day. I keep things clean as I go, like bleaching the loo each time you use it, and keep things clean and tidy as you go along, that way things don't build up to much. and cleaning as you go is much quicker to.

Not sure if I'd call it selective ...
A dirty/overly messy place usually indicates less good personal hygiene as well. People don't change, even though we think they will.

A furnishing style says a lot about someone, and it's gotta match with you. I have been there. My ex preferring abstract, modern, black furniture, floor tiles etc.
I am a colourful, lively person. I need colours, wood, I HATE floor tiles. I want laminate or wood. I need a natural, warm feel and colours.

I thought such differences would be reconcilable, but they aren't. Not at our age where you don't change anymore, you know what you want and what you need.

So selective, no. Smart and realistic, yes.

Well, that's what I was trying to explain,,, it not trivia. Maybe to some, ppl who don't really care where or how they live. I'm quite easy in that sense myself to be honest, but my home has got to feel right.
I'm very sensitive, I pick up energies and vibes real easy (that's also why I can do readings and healings etc.) and if a home doesn't feel good, I don't feel good either. It affects me. Meaning I'd have to shield myself 24/7. I've lived that way for 10 years, it does my head in. If you'd see pictures of me when I was living in such a home and pictures of me now ...
It wears me out, and in the end it will make me ill.

Apart from that, even if you aren't so very sensitive... you are a very strong minded woman. I doubt you would want to live in a place that wasn't to your liking, whether it's furniture, colour (or lack thereof), clutter, dirt, overly clean and so on.

Would you live in a pig sty or a hippie home when the man was sweet and beautiful? Don't tell me "Yes" cos I won't believe you! I think you'd pull your hair out within 2 months.
Unless you like such a home yourself (I don't know, just naming something that I think wouldn't appeal to you).
