Topic: Would you move? | |
---|---|
Similar to the other thread, but different question:
It has happened! You've found THE one for you and you both are totally utterly happy. The time has come to move in together, you both absolutely really want this! Meaning one has to move house ... Now your partner's house is slightly bigger, same quality home, but in a nicer neighbourhood and closer to your work. Do you move... or not? |

Yea I'd move, but I'd rent my place out instead of dumping it

And I love having my own place. If he was the ONE we would be getting married. IMO - & from what I have seen... A woman has nothing to gain by living with a man other than living with a man. And she should never give up anything. Not many men would give up there material processions & neither would I. The pre used bed.... Hhaa... NO |

As long as it is within an hour or two drive from where I am currently located. |

I think I'd move as well, provided I feel okay about his house. Moved in before with my ex, he owned the place. But it was so not my home, no matter what we/I did to it ... I would never ever have bought it myself, it didn't appeal to me and it had a negative vibe to it.
So the house would have to agree with me. And not sure if I'd like it if he had lived there with his ex.. If her spirit would still linger there... I'd prefer to get a place together, a house we both like, to really make a fresh new start. |

I would. Have moved so many times for different reasons and not always so pleasent. Why wouldnt I move because Ive found a man of my life? I moved because of job - and what is more important? I can do any decent job anywhere, but how many times in life you find a really good man with whome you can live with?
For me it wouldnt be a question at all. |

No. Not unless I retire.
My work and home are one and the same. Can't think of a better neighborhood. |

Yeah, I think I would move... but I would surely rent out my place.....
Living with someone brings about a lot of changes, you never know when it goes from good to not so good anymore... always better to be prepared for such unseen circumstances...... Better safe than sorry!!!! |

There are many reasons, I may decide to relocate. I've done it times too numerous to count, throughout the course of my lifetime.
But, relocating for a partner I've never cohabitated with? Not gonna happen. If, the time comes, she can relocate to me. |

I see things like this: if I know, as the OP suggests:
It has happened! You've found THE one for you and you both are totally utterly happy. The time has come to move in together, you both absolutely really want this!
it means that I do trust this partner (otherwise I wouldnt even think about living together). And if I trust him, I wouldnt mind moving to the other side of the planet. If I wouldnt trust him, I wouldnt even think about moving to the first neighbourhood. |

Yes, absolutely - but not until my kids have flown the nest.
