Let me say that have lived in St. Louis for 23 years since I left Chicago. I have married twice to St. Louis women, twice divorced. Neither one wanted to move to Chicago for one reason or another. Now I'm single again and I'd like to move to Chicago. Every time I visit I find more and better things to do. I was a knuckle head to move. You see what drinkin will do!!!

I moved out of the city for a few years, and spent time in the suburbs, but that was during high school days and I thought it would be a better environment than being out here. Unfortunately, I was wrong. HS sucks no matter where you go. Aside from that, I don't understand how anyone would want to move away from Chicago. I don't get out all that much, but it's still awesome here and I love it. Plus all of my favorite local bands play here, and that's reason enough to never leave!

Yeah Chicago is ok as far as american cities go.
I just heard from a buddy of mine that the flats closed... So there really isnt anywhere to go out and drink.

So sold his drum set and packed for St. Louie.

Timorek, Chicago definitely is awesome if you know the good places and have some good company to check them out with.
I very rarely visit bars and such, unless I'm there for a concert or something. It's never really been my scene to go and just hang out, and definitely not the place I'd go to meet people.

all my family lives in the burbs of chitown, im in indiana 3 hrs away

I've thought about moving to chicago a couple of times it looks like a fun town but with no job possibilities an no idea of what I would do with an increase in living expenses, that will just have to wait.
