I got a promotion at work, just bought a new truck, and I am looking to buy a house closer to the ocean. Do you worry the bottom will fall out when things are going good or do you just go with it?

I go with it, for sure.
I only get concerned, when everything has gone to crap, and I know it's going to get worse. So when it's good...I enjoy it for all it's worth. |

I got a promotion at work, just bought a new truck, and I am looking to buy a house closer to the ocean. Do you worry the bottom will fall out when things are going good or do you just go with it? I usually pass it by the filter 'do I need it' or 'do I just want it?' If it gets by that, then I am free. If not, I would be worrying it :-) |

like they say... bad things come in threes.... so it only makes sense..
. to worry when things are too good.. .... I have being known to get to the point.. where I don't allow myself to enjoy something.. too much..... because I know if I do... the universe will just take it away from me. lol |

I've been in that situation many times... Does become self - defeating... I'm learning to Be thankful for the good, roll with the punches when the bad comes... Sometimes makes the good even more worthwhile... Worrying takes a lot of joy out of life.. Wish you the best!

I usually do to,I live 1 hr from work and the house closer to work would be more beneficial and cost effective but it does come with a few worries. Closer to work is always better. 2 hour commute!! Nothing is more worrisome than that, those 2 hours each day you will never get back. I just would not trust the economy to perform. |

I agree, about the economy but is it ever truly safe to trust it, but it is my main worry. The drive is killing me and during the summer I take on another job and after the long hours the ride home is pure hell, I have found myself falling asleep at times and not to mention the extra money for gas.

Good luck with the house search jack . I adore living at the beach .. It's my haven :-) I agree Panchos a good man and he works hard so he deserves to take his shirt off and have a cold beer at the end of the day. Your right the beach is just heaven |

Jack I think you are being responsible and careful. When things are good we can go a bit overboard. It's a good thing to be a bit wary, but pat yourself on the back too. Enjoy |

Hi jack,
I do worry when things go good, because I know it's not going to last, because that's how my life has always been. |
