Not sure if anyone as seen this but its an interview with an Isis defector. It was on Sky News a few days ago.
I personally wondered why the hostages appeared so calm when they were about to be beheaded. Apparently they do lots of false practice takes so the hostage thinks it just another re-run.

It highly depends which gods, Mightymoe. People who have gods as power, money, domination, control etc., yes those people with gods kill people. I�ll repeat myself, in one of the threads I already said this, but religion, just as anything else can be misused. Take away all the religions and wars won�t be stopped, conflicts will continue, just something else would be used as a reason. The real reason for any conflict lies in as, humans, in our nature. Our greediness. God has nothing to do with it.
And as I said before, I got through a terrible war which was presented very often as a war between religions. It wasn�t true - it was about teritory, power and money, nothing else. Muslims and christians were helping each other - normal, ordinary people, who lived the whole life together, didn�t want it, just politicians. We suffered. And in politics there are no other gods then those I counted above.

And that�s what I said too, Mightymoe. God has nothing to do with it. People kill people for whatever reason they find. Not people with gods but just people. And, you know what? You�ll very rearly, if ever, hear the real reason why some conflict began.

In politics - I don�t belive any politician would ever say the truth, definitely not the whole truth. It�s all just a cover for a few people above to get what they want. Who cares about ordinary people? Media are also under pressure to present what is wanted to be presented. Truth in politics? That would be the best joke ever

Some politicians are truthful, Ron Paul was one of them. He was ridiculed for it but at least he got out with his honor and his life intact. That's pretty amazing.
