wondering how the relationship is going..? like an update..?

Hiii...
Well a few people have asked me what the latest is....so seeing as quite a few here followed our progress from the beginning I guess it’s only fair to update you all...
Sadly...we have come to an end...
There is a reason for that....which is obviously personal...

But I would like to say to all the naysayers here that the two primary factors....LDR and age gap...were not to blame...

We both know that our LDR was conducted to the letter....constant contact, using multiple platforms daily....combined with visits to her country by me on a regular basis...

As for the age gap...that was and never had been an issue...as I have posted here often we met in the middle....and yes...we always had something to talk about...and were emotionally equal...

I still believe both these relationship types are workable and worth venturing into....but be prepared to do the hard yards....
Anyway...

Mekay has decided to pursue career options in her field in the Middle East and will leaving for there soon...
And as for me...well...moving forward...

Thank you to all our friends for supporting us through the ups and downs....man we had some crazy times here....

Thanks to the mods for liberally using that delete post button when things got rough....

And thanks to RustyKitty for spurring my slack butt to write this finally.....hahaha...

And last but not least...big thanks to my 3 friends here that I confide in and always know will give me straight advice...

That is so sexy when you man up and lay no blame.

I never conversed with either you or Mekay but I did follow this thread a few times , and I really did admire the both of you for the love and commitment you both displayed, under the most challenging of circumstances.

I echo Erotidoug's sentiments that you both have been an inspiration to other explorers of long distance relationships here at mingle .

I also agree with soufie that you both have shown grace and dignity in your parting of ways which I deeply respect.
