your cruel intentions
beneath a strong facade disguised by gifts of fancy does not fool me. your house of cards winning each round are by no means a mere sleight of hand i feel nothing like i should all you are to me mere flesh and blood a mind without a heart the emptiness you nurtured purpose without freedom duty with no love choices without conscience the puppet dances as strings are pulled the dummy speaks without a voice a show of light and shadows a mask for every face entertains the masses you paid to watch i watched for your pleasure i watched with my pain i did as your bidding and died a little each day what once was your life is now a prelude of mine even kingdoms fall even corpses rise -mgsmd "PT" 03/2015 |

"wishes"
throwing wishes in the air and getting caught in the wind like a feather floating up and high never knowing to where or nigh crumpled papers shot straight to trash some falling to the floor eventually... everything gets thrown out the door pebbles can skip across the pond ripples made, the farther it goes only to realize, in the end down, down, they still sink below but even in an endless ocean amidst the stormy seas a castaway's message in a bottle can reach the shore, you see? - mgsmd "PT" 04/2015 |

grasp
the heart of the matter is often forgotten in the midst of confusion as voices grow louder drowns out the wisdom so lovingly given by the One so illogical as to defy comprehension silence takes over and feelings of none but the messiness of what's left when the chains come undone freedom can be awful in awesome proportions when lost in the moments of utter confusion harbors sentiments of warped expectations (and how) do you make it through a minute or a week alone with thoughts strewn down and across filling each space with words and your grasp and uncanny completion of what is yet unspoken your words not yet mine my thoughts unexpressed as moments of discovery reveals events from paths travelled or not ventured on unveils understandings of what was what is and what comes a welcome addition each thought now passing each word glosses over the times of laughing loudly in silence fills the moments with peace by placing matters firmly where it rightly belongs -mgsmd "PT" 04/2015 |

Keep your best wishes, close to your heart and watch what happens Tony DeLiso, Legacy: The Power Within Often, it's not about becoming a new person, but becoming the person you were meant to be, and already are, but don't know how to be. Heath L. Buckmaster, Box of Hair: A Fairy Tale |

If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.
~E.B. White, quoted in Israel Shenker, "E.B. White: Notes and Comment by Author," New York Times, 1969 July 11th |
