True Grit 2010 ... ??? I could have sworn that it was supposed to be funny, especially the scene where Mattie is negotiating with the horse trader ... I was practically rolling in the aisles throughout the film, BUT ... the rest of the audience seemed totally stony faced ... Extract from an interview with the Coen Brothers .. "To hear the Coens tell it, their True Grit may not even be a western. "If anything," Joel continues, "we were thinking about it more in terms of Alice in Wonderland. A lot of my movies in my collection are movies people don't like. Just to name a few: AVP Soul Plane Snakes on a Plane Corpse Bride The Love Guru But I do love a lot of the mainstream big blockbusters, too.
