I would like to visit Sydney Australia and eventually move there. I have never left the U.S. and do not want to learn a completely new language and culture. Australia seems similar enough to the U.S. to where I should be able to adjust fairly easy. I would like to learn as much as I can about Australia, especially Sydney. If anyone lives or has visited, I would appreciate any information.
Also, I know I would need a passport, but any information about leaving the U.S. and entering Australia would greatly be appericiated, as I have never left the country, I'm not sure how to go about it exactly. |

You should talk to anacondaarms, who met a gal from there, married her and they go back and forth, though she has since moved to Tasmania to run a hotel :-)

Get a passport, check with their Embassy online or a good travel agent about visas, work permits, employment opportunities etc.(Australia has a lot of mines, if you know anything about mining or mining equipment you can get a good job there). Look up on line about sites you may want to see while there. Get on a plane. Go.

As I research, I don't think Australia is for me. I don't think the UK is either, so it seems the US is where I should be. IDK, maybe I will find a place that suits me someday. I must admit though its a bit of a shadow chase for me, but if I can do something to atleast make me feel that Im closer to happiness, I'm going to do it.
