keep your wit's about you, and always try to verify things they may say (I know this part is difficult but it can be done). and if it sounds too good to be true it's a lie.
keep safe and have fun. |

ive had 2 women from over seas messaging me I was thinking are these woman real, glad I seen this post I guess I should be careful Yes Philip you should...give them an email address & at the least you'll get spam & the worst some kind of comp. virus or spyware invasion. You can always tell by the grammar & syntax usage. Personally, since I'm in NY I get the ones from locations listed under where ever town New York & there is no such county/location in New York State,(in the beginning I actually used to try to look up the names of the locations - found out there IS actually an Alabama, NY LOL). I get about 2-3 scammers a week, but no real men as far as my location & preferences go, oh well... |

I agree, just say No, or say nothing at all. If you're being contacted here on this site, you can use the block button on first email and never again they can get through your inbox. Then there's the report button and you can email the mods about your concern and they will take care of it.

I experienced scammer by myself...pretending his a US military army. I met one them here, of course I searched
Online if he is really genuine, sad to say he's not! The name is is using was a re US aremy who was died already. He is very good actor, and well knowledge about the person who is claiming he is. Poor soldiers, there identy been corrupted! So ladies be smart on the person you are talking with online, better see him on skype, just to be sure..he's really real. Be vigilant! I hope US government will do something about this.... |

Scammers are very easy to spot. I have had dozens of them in the last few days. What I find funny is the ones posing as soldiers trying to contact me. Really? Scammers contact a military person posing as a military person? Do they not think I won't pick up on that? These scammers are so stupid.

So I have to ask this question.
If you end up chatting with someone and thinking, yeah, this person sounds nice to meet, but not sure if they're real... why not just offer to meet them in a safe public place? Don't give out last names, don't give out phone numbers, just offer to meet and be recognized by something you wear. At that point if still in doubt you can ask for id. ;-) Just thinking out loud. I think this used to work 50+ years ago lol. |

Welcome to Mingle2 and good luck in your search. |
