Well I'm new on here but sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to see the obvious. A lot of profiles say "last logged on over a month ago" this may actually mean that the person is no longer active on the site and last logged on several years ago. The first few times I messaged one of these profiles expressing an interest and got no response I felt kind of rejected. Then I checked back to see if they had actually logged on after I had contacted them. In most cases they had not. My suggestion is that if a profile is inactive for over a month it should be archived or labeled as inactive. I think this would eliminate potential confusion especially for new members. It would also focus attention on the people who are actually real and looking on here. Just a suggestion. -Greg It does not take fresh eyes, if you peruse the Help forum you can see how often that is brought up: http://mingle2.com/forum/forum/7 Point #2: If they are in 'Stealth' mode you cannot tell if they have logged back in since you sent them an email (the line next to their username which will usually say 'Seen within the last week, month', etc. will NOT be there, this is how you can tell they are in 'Stealth.') Point #3: As anyone to whom you send an email (or Nudge, or Favorite) gets notified immediately via their registered email address (the off-site one) it makes no matter when last they logged in. Often people will wait for such a notification before returning to check it out, if they have interest. Lastly, and periodically, M2 will open up the 'Feedback' forum, inviting suggestions such as yours when they get ready for a rehaul. In the meantime, M2 is always grateful for suggestions that enhance your experience. Welcome to M2 :-) |
