C'mon. Lets admit it. The worst thing about a relationship or without is Loneliness. Liars suck and excuse makers but. Loneliness is a killer.

Loneliness,Mmm,,truth is,alot of us can blame the person in the mirror,I can bet most or at least half of us are waiting or looking for the "Special someone",while not giving some the chance by at least getting to know them,that may be that "special someone"right there,I think we're all guilty of that and are victims of it as well!!

Living and being on your own does have its compensations. You get to do what you want to do and go where you want to go, watch what you want to watch on TV, wear what you like, fix things when you want to fix them, decorate your home as you wish, have a holiday where you want to go. I think I would rather be alone than with someone because of loneliness, so when I do find them they will be that someone special that we all look for, and they are out there somewhere.

I don't often feel lonely. The first 20 months after splitting up I truly never felt lonely. Of late I sometimes do. But not even really lonely, just miss intimacy at times, being held, kissed.
I've simply never really had a problem being alone. I'm great company

I think some people don't ever really feel "whole" unless they are in a relationship. They look for someone to "complete" them. They only feel like half a person until they are in a relationship. They tell everyone how lonely they are and that only if they could find that special someone all their problems would be solved.

Being single doesn't have to equate to loneliness.

my advice would to try to become comfortable on your own after all if you can stand your own company how do you expect someone else to?

after you're comfortable being by yourself start looking for someone to "compliment" your life instead of "complete" it.

nice thought.. a happy ending doesn't always include someone, sometimes its just u on ur own..sometimes happy ending s just moving on..

I could go so many places with "happy ending" but I'll leave it alone

It sucks but I think we learn the most from it too.

Personally, I'd much rather feel lonely while alone than lonely while in a relationship with another.

It's easily remedied unless someone wants to wallow in self pity because they enjoy seeing themselves as a victim.

Once one realizes they're feeling "lonely" - whether alone OR with someone - one should take the necessary steps to *fix* it.



Unless, of course, they (secretly) enjoy that feeling of loneliness.

If you are feeling lonely and unwanted, stop paying all your bills for a few weeks.
