I hurt him. Badly. Seriously. Or, at the very least, I'd happily die trying. ~sigh~ Those eyes. See??? He's doing That Thing with his eyes. Saddest thing ever? Back when I was in my mid-30s, I met a man who looked JUST like him...hair, smile and - most importantly - those eyes and he did That Thing with 'em. We were hot-and-heavy for about 4 months, but I couldn't handle his out-of-control drinking and the fact that he went back to using...and he'd never revealed it was something he could go back to. Ahhhhh...but he WAS fun to look at...and to be looked AT by. This one looks most like him, 'wife-beater' and all... ~double sigh~

Yup, yup...probably the worst broken heart I'd ever had or WILL ever have over a man. Realizing you need to love yourself more so you have to leave 'em, even though you're (falling) madly in love with 'em IS the hardest lesson love's ever taught me... ...so far. I'm sure there'll be more. Ahhhh...the sweet mysteries of life, no?
