I've learnt that working on your own profile text makes a he|| of a difference. Saying you're new and out of your depth does invite the weirdos to come knocking on your door.

And yes, there are an awful lot of creeps here, but I guess it's the same on every other dating site. Better try your luck here in the forums.

This is great advice. If I have any gut feeling of creepiness or if they ask me to go off of this site and onto yahoo messenger I report them on here.

Look at the environment in which you find yourself.

People that want to date or want to find someone compatible and attractive are only going to message or talk to that small percentage of the population to which they are attracted to and compatible.

People that just want some sort of immediate gratification, something from you, and don't really give a crap who it's from are going to contact everyone in the hopes they get it.

So the majority of people that are ever going to contact you on here are going to be what you consider a "creep."

Guys aren't generally here to just mingle and talk to random people for the fun of it because it's all exciting to just chit chat.

Or IOW your complaint is little different than saying "Maybe it's just the people I talk to on this used car lot but it seems all guys just want to sell me something rather than set up a carpool."

The non "creepy" guy is going to be the rarity.
Also partly due to the fact that "creepy" guys are undesirable.
No one wants to date them. So there is nothing taking them away from a free dating site.
Which means their population is constantly increasing as new creepy guys come on and the old creepy guys stay, whereas the "good" ones come, and get taken off, reducing their population before new ones come on.

It's hard to not seem creepy when you do this and some women are going to think that you're creepy whatever you do. If ninety percent of the women on here think that I'm creepy and won't talk to me but the other ten percent will and some of those ones want to date me and when they meet me some of those ones are prepared to come home with me because they think that I'm alright and not creepy, am I creepy or is it just women that don't even know me and that think that all of us are creepy anyway thinking that I am creepy?
