Topic: Why I hate dating. | |

I feel like they are job interviews. Everyone has a check list and at the end of the meet you either say you are going to call or you don't. Then there is the call and the set up for the next meet. You meet again cause there was something "Different" about that person. Then at the end of the meeting you set up the next one. You go to that one knowing you have the temp job 'cause why would you go through the last two if you didn't think there was a chance... Anyone else feel like this?

How many jobs are we taking about?
I say "screw" the interview and smoke a joint with me. |

Lol thats how I always felt like I was on an interview. Why couldnt things feel more comfortable, or why does he have to know so much so soon.I never cared for the first anything, but after you get through the first this n that it just gets better and better.

Indifference usually does it for me both with jobs AND women but i think i went too far with the latter hence why i'm here! Turn the tables and start "interviewing" THEM !

I disagree with the premises of your argument.
Also, you know, hey. |

Sounds like you've been on a bunch of dull dates.

I can see your point I have had those kind of dates but if you concentrate on the ones that truly make you excited I have found that eliminates the boring ones. good luck to you.

Dates used to be that way with me. I stay away from the checklist at first and nothing too personal. You have to keep it really casual, light and fun as possible. Go biking, or browse the bookstore. If you sit in a coffee shop it can become awkward and like a job interview. |

To me it only feels like a job interview when I meet someone online and we go for coffee. Some reason that first coffee date feels like a job interview.
But when I meet people in real life, it usually doesn't feel like a job interview. |
