Topic: how to get a date? | |
---|---|
I see lots of interesting men on another site (not so much here). Plus cute guys at my mother's Lowes. One looks like a young Blake Shelton. But how do I get a guy to ask me out? How do I even start a conversation for that matter?
I don't have any social skills. I didn't pick them up naturally and they don't teach them in school. How do I get a guy to talk to me when he seems to have nothing to say? And how do I get asked out once I get them talking? The ones at Lowes are particularly tricky, I don't want to bug a man while he is working, but how else am I suppose to talk to find them? |

Try just keep talking to the guy. He may not be good at thinking of things to say as well. Just approach the person in a polite manner and talk about something for a minute and then possibly ask them out. The worse that could happen in that they will reject you.

You want to wear those tight figure hugging jeans, alternatively the black leggings, white slim fit low cut tee, definitely will attract the guys.

Hold a bottle of cold beer on one hand and a bacon sammich on the other.
You're welcome. |

I would just keep being yourself and quit worrying about how to attract them. Your a attractive young woman and some men are drawn to "shy " girls, be genuine strike up a conversation and remember maybe someone as shy as you might have his eyes on you. Good luck in your search |

I don't really have any advice for picking up a guy other than to say if you are interested talk to them and don't be afraid to ask them out.
One thing I will say though is as a guy, a big turn on is seeing a woman in the gardening section of home depot. It is probably the fact that girl likes something similar to me, but I can be looking at the plainest of plain woman and the fact that they are gardening makes me interested. That being said, I have never had the balls to walk up to someone in home depot and chat them up. Good luck |

Good luck YOU are so missing a great opportunity to practice those social skills in a non-threatening environment. You could go one of two ways, and that will depend on many factors... 1. You can ask a question of the other person, pertaining to that section. This is a great conversation starter. (Even if you already know the answer.) 2. You could offer your expertise, particularly if the person looks a little confused. Accumulating knowledge is a lifelong journey, sharing it with others is the payoff. Either one will have you engaged in conversation in mere seconds. A variation I will use (especially if she's really umm... hot) will be to feign ignorance and ask her a question... like in the paint section "Do you think a textured roller would look good, or should I go with the smooth?" You're asking for both expertise and an opinion about the finish look. Women are always about the finish. ![]() If it seems to go well, introduce yourself at some point. If she reciprocates, your conversation could continue on, for years even. Of course, your mileage may vary. |

Good advice. It applies to a lot of other social settings as well.
