I rescued Apache' from death actually as a foal. He had a naval infection and the large Arabian farm was going to put him down at 4 months had I not entered his life. $300 later for surgery and gelding and he was mine. No price for him just the procedures. Every single day I would look at him, amazed how someone could be so cold and cruel. The best teacher I ever had. that's sooo cool you could come into his life like that.. when he needed you the most

oh MY.. and I found a twin to Prinny too (the Painted Pinto 'Princess') she was my FIRST 
she was the smallest of the 3 I had.. she was only 14 & 1/2 hands.. but what she lacked in height.. she filled with soul
OH Nice looking dunn or was it considered palomino? Chief was a red roan overo with dunn characteristics. I had a long discussion with APHA over that and they finally made the notations in his files. Red Roan and Dunn are both dominant genes and they said he couldn't have both. I said he most certainly can because he does 
nope.. she was a painted pinto.. american breeding.. I didn't much care about papers when I got her.. being my FIRST.. (you know the feeling  ) I was just too happy to get on her and RIDE LIKE THE WIND.. she SOOOO loved the way the breeze made her mane flow

Gigi on the other hand was 17 & 1/2 hands.. graceful.. and a wee bit vain
I had to run into the house for something and left the front door open briefly.. she came waltzing in like she OWNED the place imagine my surprise when I came into the living room to see her standing there munching on the ferns she stopped long enough to give me a wink 'n a smile
OOPS.. forgot ta add.. OBViously..  she was a Black Arabian and fully papered and like I said before.. she was a SHOW girl.. we did a few circuits with her.. won a few ribbons.. but her GRANDEST moment.. was when a friend said HE could ride her better.. but when they got to the first jump? only HE made it.. cuz she decided to NOT to

He had gone the entire winter before I bought him without being fed. He scavenged whatever he could find to survive. It took 9 months to get him looking like he does in this photo.

it's amazing how some people treat the animals they CHOOSE to have in their lives huh gives you a good idea how they treat PEOPLE too

My first horse was a Quarter horse gelding named Tarzan. He was a bronzish brown with black mane and tail. A friend dared me to ride him into the house... Stupid stupid dare on his part... He had no problem waltzing right through the door as I asked him too.
Darn it now I am really missing them

thanks.. I don't have any pics of mine (lost them in the ice storm back in '97ish) but I DID find their twins online 
life isn't LIFE until you've experience a horse / human relationship
