The space that's left in the absences,
Of you. The void that encompasses the all. The moments between awake and asleep, when you are still there. The sound of you breathing, even when you are gone. Footsteps, echo and carry you away from me. The trick of the eye that sees you here when you are not. Amputation and loss, without you. Missing you... ...moves me. |

Don't touch me.
Don't touch me in this state Of magnified toxicity. Don't touch me in this place Of excruciating pain. Don't touch me with those words Of lies dropped loose. Don't touch me with those hands Of bloodied hate. Don't touch me in this soul Crushed fine through time. Dont touch me in this nightmare Of split ghoulish worlds. Just hold me from a distant time Let healing take it's course. Just hold me from a distant life As memories remind. Don't touch me. |

A Private Hell
Shards of broken thoughts Lie wasted on the path Of temper Held check too long. Unleashed fury of history's Scribed tomes. Icebound deaths of dreams Unspent. Gritted jaw and blood filled eye Seeking to defile. Debris scattered to the wind Silent howl grates harsh. Inferno cauterise the wounds Torn callous reality sated. Stench of hypocrisy ripened Heavy with contempt. Sulphurous lies choke Auditory heart. Blind acrid faith Abandoned in sodden trenches. Avoided life, defunct belief Charismatic destruction Awaits softened soul Willing to be plundered. Lee. |

Dreamscapes, and impressions,
left in the waking world. Haunting, and carried wherever the waking walk takes her. Searching, and seeking, disappointed and disillusioned. Not to be ... The dream will remain that. She wears him as her talisman... even if only a dream. Faith.... thought dead, only dormant. Softly he teases that seed to bud.... a tiny shoot resurrected to life. Drawn to the light of love. She blooms. He was always there... never looking... patiently waiting for her to appear. As he knew she would. ![]() |

Ten thousand sweets she's tasted.
Fruits and wines, wild honeys and nectars. All of them bitter upon her tongue. None the sweetness she craved. Ten thousand songs she's heard. Lyrics and tempos, beats and bass. All of them raucous upon her ears. None the sound she craved. Ten thousand eyes she's seen. Old and young, dark and light. All of them empty upon her soul. None the light she craved. Ten thousand steps she's taken. Sand, and pasture, forest and desert. All of these places foreign. None of them the home she craved. For every taste, every sound, every sight, every step was further away from him, that was always here. ![]() |

One tentative step he took towards the horizon
Separating him, from all, his past A single pair of eyes he saw Gazing there, knew that, it was, too late Hearing a song of nature's lullaby Fat rain on leaves, the wind, and jumping fish Scent of heavy ripe mango trees Turning into wine A taste of quite dark chocolate Burnt, smooth, sweet, teasing to intoxicate ![]() |

I felt you today,
in the length of my stride matching the beat of my heart, in the warmth of the sun upon my neck and the caress of breeze around my skirts. I heard you today, in raucous laughter of kookaburra's joy, in ocean's tempo on my shores and in the silence of a butterfly's embrace. I tasted you today, in the succulence of late summer's peach, in the salty brine of plump olives and in the soft warm rain upon my lips. I saw you today, in the look of a lover's gaze, in the blush of dawn's arousal and in the brooding clouds, lazing on horizon. I smelt you today, in the wind, fierce and full of promise, in the earth, warm and dusty underfoot and in the excitement of a child's discovery. I loved you today, as I felt you, heard you, tasted you and smelt you. I loved you today. ![]() |

Oh how the moon inspires so!
Her gentle gaze searing swathes upon one's soul. The delicate softness wrenching truths buried deep. Oh how the moon inspires so! The lunacy of love's unfettered dance Abandoning and surrendering one's heart with ease. Oh how the moon inspires so! What becomes of this insurmountable madness? Nothing... that hadn't always been before. Oh how the moon inspires so! She asks for nothing but receives all offerings alike. Tidal yearnings ebb and flow around her. This full moon, she inspires me, ......to love. |

Starbusts of delight shimmer up the spine as laughter ripples, rich and warm to rest softly as a cloak upon her heart. Ecstatic heat blazes in the lamplight of her joyous smile, whispering promises of stories yet to unfold. A raised eyebrow is all it takes, to strike a gong within her soul, reverberating to places, long slumbered and forgotten. His words wash over, enfolded in love, and promise of subtle confidences, enrapture her breath to burst forth upon her day. His touch ten thousand miles soft, whisper and curl around her cheek, as she bends to feel him closer. Oh the joy of wanting! How easily we succumb... ![]() |
