Being able to be yourself

You found this more difficult at another age? Do you mean the difference in legal rights between a minor and an adult? Given lawful behaviour at any age, I find intrinsically age is perfectly neutral and neither positive nor negative.

During teenage years you want to be accepted by peers. During early adulthood you either rebel against everything or try to impress every one. At this age you can be yourself

I have the time and the resources to spend my time doing things I consider important, fascinating, interesting, and fun. I have much more wisdom than when I was much younger. I also get some senior citizen discounts which is nice. happy

I fully understand ;) I'm now 32, and it feels like there's less pressure to measure up to others my age. I have ability to ignore awful comments. If people want to waste their time caring too much about what others do, well they're wasting much of their time left on earth.

I'm old enough to know not to do stupid things.
But I'm young enough to say "skrew it"
And do it anyway.laugh

Well, sometimes people call me "sir" now. Christ, I felt old when they first started doing that. It still makes my day when someone calls me "son" but I'm getting that less and less now and I haven't been called "big man" by anyone in years. Most of the time it's just "mate" or "buddy" and I suppose that's cool and better than what they called me when I was at school.

It gives you some sent of urgency. There is no time to waste. Already ...years have passed. But being 30 gives you some status. You dont have to fight for everything anymore. The most dirty stuff is gone out of the mind...
