seriously? in the last three days i have seen at least 5 of them removed from the boards. why?

the pity ***** thread could have been entertaining. yes it may have taken a turn for the worse, but it hadn't yet! ffs, it's no wonder this place has gone to chit.

i mean some of the adds that are tossed down my throat are no more offensive than the majority of the threads that have been taken down. who the **** makes these calls? disney inc?

it's my understanding that one has to be an adult to participate here. why can't the boards reflect that? hell, they have more leeway in the freeeeakin shrek movies!!!

because once someone becomes a mod they become little "mini-god-like" personas and if something offends them they ASSUME it offends everyone and they take it down...as they now have that authority.

The site is PG-13 rated and we all must conform to that.
It is a free site because the advertisers set the bar.

When joining, everyone agrees to the TOS.

now soufie, we both know the rules and the tolerances have changed quite a bit since i, or you for that matter, joined here. my problem is the way things are taken down. a few holdouts from the falwell movement dictate far too much around here. and as for the advertisers, well, how long was i asked if i wanted to meet gay black thugs? far too long for my liking. however the owners of this site didn't have a problem with that, did they?

if you remember, we used to joke about that in the threads, not get all up in arms about it. if those that complain any time someone mentions the word sex, feel threatened than perhaps they should...well, never mind.

ok back to the reason i posted this... my op uses more profanity than her entire thread did. tell me what was it that caused it to be removed? other than some uptight "member" of equal value complaining to the lords of moral judgment.

funny how we can have a thread go on and on for 5, 6, 7 pages, discussing (in detail about the smell, the noises, the dislikes) the natural function of human bowl movements, but god for f-ing bid someone have the nerve to post about an equally natural human action, sex. all she did was ask a ligament question and POW!, gone in less than a page!!!

And yes, I think they have changed over time.

The rules bar us from discussing reasons
behind deletions, etc.

That is a good thing because some members like

while membership may be up, active membership here is waaaay off from where it once was. the boards are not even a third as busy as they used to be. so this tells me that, yes, the numbers overall may be higher, the actual user numbers cannot be were they were when things were less "civil". that tells me that people are NOT returning here to hang out.

Hummm only time that full threads have been pulled is due to they are against the Forum rules.

At times when it becomes strictly attacking, sexually or due to others taking it over with insults due to the way they worded their thread. Or even because they are protesting Mods actions as this one is...

Rules are Rules they are there for a reason....

If at anytime one feels we are wrong then they should feel free to contact Mark or Charles...

Ever action we make is logged and all they have to do is look to see what we did and why. Then they can make the final decision. If we were right or wrong...
