If you were a castaway on a desert island what
1. Music would you have? (only 2 alblums please) 2. What type of food would wash up on shore? (in a water tight compartment of course) 3. What books would you want to have? (Again only 2) |

in answer to question...
1 - I'd have my mp3 player with about 10,000 tunes 2 - buffet food from a cruise ship 3 - a Notebook (holds all the books I'd ever want) it's all about choices and preparedness..  besides.. if I was castaway on a deserted island.. I'd be in happy happy heaven

I'm with Zero...why have albums when there is no way to listen to them! ;-)
#1...my ipod, downloaded with ALL my country music #2...anything with a longggggggg life shelf...who knows how long I'll be stranded! 
#3...Not big on reading, so I'd choose a couple BLANK journals and a pen to write/document my experience. |

Well if I am going to be stranded for an undetermined amount of time I need things that will last. I already know how to build a shelter and how to get fresh water. I did not know what types of food would be available so I need to grow my own. I have never built a boat from nothing so instructions are good. I believe that same book would give me ideas on how to make a fishing net so the protein issue would also get solved. Though I fear the most important thing to be stranded with would be the right man. Now if that was included in the list then I doubt I would read the book on how to make a boat.

I agree with BNJ but would perhaps change: 1) for Jazz albums, any, because if I had to rely on my drum playing ability anything I could probably eat would disappear ;-) 2) seedlings - Herbs 3) 2x sketch books blank to fill them up with pics and memoirs

.#1.. look a fully equipped Orchestra... with Sopranos intact.. just washed up on the beach... lucky day. .#2... fair??  you never said ANYthing about being FAIR 
with today's technologies available.. why should I settle for 2 vinyl discs that'll probably just melt in the hot temps ANYways.. and besides.. you didn't say ANYthing about being able to bring a player along.. OR about having any electricity.. but to be on the safe side.. I'd pack a solar panel'n bring the kettle!!
