I already have dated a few who had illnesses. So I could do it again. Unfortunately, most of THEIR illnesses, seemed to be about feeding their ego, which had me questioning why I bothered continuing the damn relationship. So you can see why I had to end some of them. . Oh, but hey, I never end mine on a bad note. Better to keep it friendly. No need for bitterness. Well not in MY world.

I guess now I can be classified as "disabled"- I mean physically, I know what you are thinking, but f' that ****. I met some people here with disabilities- one close by with an autoimmune disorder, but she didn't want to meet as I might make her sick. I guess she could tell that I am some sort of dirty filthy animal or something. It all comes down to personality first and foremost, then maybe... You know most of the women I meet here have some sort of genetic disorder resulting in the fact that they end up being almost six feet tall, whereas I am a normal 5'7". There is also the common mental disorder, which in technical terms is referred to as b*tchassitis. Yeah, I see that a lot too.

Kudos to you and kudos to those who say they will. Few and far between are those like you. I read alot of threads and profiles. The majority of people want (and say) they are looking for healthy and energetic . I just wonder how many who say they would ...would actually do it. What I see for the most part (sorry) is alot of people on dating sites being way overly too picky nevermind dating people with illnesses and disabilities...

This is a bit of a touchy subject for me because I had a girlfriend that had arthritis and she said to me that she needed somebody that would look after her in her old age and that I couldn't do that. She didn't tell me about it until I had been seeing her for a few weeks but one day she said something about a hospital appointment but didn't say what for and I didn't like to ask. I actually suspected that she was bipolar because of her mood swings. She would do things like phoning me at the weekend to tell me that she was coming over and then phone back an hour or so later, sounding depressed and saying that she didn't feel like it anymore and that she wasn't coming. Then a bit more time would go by and she would phone again, or just show up at my door, back in a good mood because she had taken her pain medication.
I've met a few women through internet dating that had quite serious illnesses and issues but I'm kind of all about the accepting each other for who we are. Did have to say to one woman though that I couldn't really see a relationship being very practical because she had some rare condition that periodically incapacitated her and she wasn't local and it wouldn't be possible for me to just come to see her at a drop of a hat when she got ill. |

Sweet Tee, how can I give you such support if your mail filter won't allow me to send you mail? The "50 mile" limit blocks me. |

Depending on the severity of the illness id probably give it a chance. Tee the double amputee must have been joking. he wanted a relationship ONLY? does he not know the importance of friendship

Tee the double amputee must have been joking. he wanted a relationship ONLY? does he not know the importance of friendship I think he was getting frustrated with dating because he probably was getting the same response from other women. |

Maybe she should try taking care of himself, and show independence. no woman wants to play nurse/doctor full time in a relationship
