Men get breast cancer too.

I don't know what the statistics are for other nations, but in the USA, breast cancer is the #2 killer of women.
So, why isn't there a race for the cure for the #1 killer of women? How many women living in the USA even know what the #1 killer is? Also, whether or not you want to admit it, Mandy is correct when she says the following: When it comes to clothing and shoes, women have many more options in terms of style and colour.
Mothers are favoured in child custody court cases. If you see a woman crying, you'll probably feel sorry for her and want to comfort her. If you see a man crying, you'll probably feel uncomfortable and not say much and not want to touch them. |

Hey you all. This is my first time joining the chats. I have often heard that women are more sensitive than men. Those people who do the statistics or whatever, says more men suffer from a broken marriage and commits more suicide. they also show how a man has to put up with more insults from the other sex and has to try harder to remember the little details to keep the relationship. It is allowed for a woman to say "oh i forgot". when a woman finds her husband to be cheating, she tells her friends so they can help plan what to do to him. when a man learns that his wife cheats, his ego is crushed and his world collapse. he will be desperate to keep his friends from finding out. most men who mistakenly hugs a woman from behind has to be careful to not wind up in jail or get pepper sprayed. if the situation is reversed the man in most cases would ask for her name and number. children most times love mothers more in my country because mothers put up with or are more lenient with the wrongs committed. you can disagree but that's how i see it.

In the US, according to the most recent CDC that I can find , the leading cause of death is heart disease followed by breast cancer breast cancer Cancer is a disease in which cells in the body grow out of control. When cancer starts in the breast, it is called breast cancer. Except for skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women. heat disease In the United States, the most common type of heart disease is coronary artery disease (CAD), which can lead to heart attack. You can greatly reduce your risk for CAD through lifestyle changes and, in some cases, medication. Coronary artery disease can cause a heart attack. If you have a heart attack, you are more likely to survive if you know the signs and symptoms, call 9-1-1 right away, and get to a hospital quickly. People who have had a heart attack can also reduce the risk of future heart attacks or strokes by making lifestyle changes and taking medication. In my opinion, many measures are taken to curtail heart disease by the efforts to get people to be more 'fit' in their diet choices I think men and women have the same clothing options our culture just finds it more acceptable for women to be tomboyish and dress like men, than for men to be girly and dress like women something I don't see as a huge benefit, but am glad of,, to be honest,,, Id be happy if women wore dresses and skirts and left the pants and shorts to men,, but that's the culture I also believe much of the reason mothers are 'favored' is because it is the cultural norm for the woman who has bonded with the child through PREGNANCY to continue the strength of that bond once the child arrives while the male is generally concerned with the finances more than direct interaction and bonding with the children I believe in those cases where the man has a history of performing the child bonding routines,,he will be more likely to get custody if the mother has not done the same,,,,but the mom always has the bonding of pregnancy over the dad,,,,, |

Men get breast cancer too. Yeah! And women don't even get to have a prostate in the first place! |

Wow just wow .... First of all I don't like to be generalized when some have no clue.... All women have not had it so easy they have fought for what they wanted or needed... If I saw a man crying I would in fact stop like most that I know would... It is women that have fought for the Breast Cancer funds... Just shows maybe more men need to step up to the plate for foundations for prostate cancer.... As far as colon cancer that effects both men/women... I will agree that mothers are more favored in child custody cases... And for many years that was due to the fathers did not fight for them...Another place more men need to step up to the plate... Not all women complain when things don't go their way... Many of us are strong enough to take care of the things we need done or fight for what we believe in.. What gets me more is for someone to complain about others with no clue of what is really happening.... As far as a man's world why should it be only a man's world....women have for many years stood behind them now they are being noticed as working just as hard... This world belongs to both Men/Women no one has done it alone without the other... bravo I have seen a lot of different situations, and I seldom complain unless there is a GOOD reason. So I am really offended by that comment. It is not a matter of whether things go my way...it is a matter of things being moral, ethical and fair. |

Turn in your man credentials. While I apologize for mocking your sensitivity and propensity for weeping, I have to draw the line at bemoaning a lack of fashion choices.
If you want to wear yellow socks, wear yellow socks. No need to make a big production out of it. |

My comments were meant for any man who shared the OP's sentiments (who I just realized is a girl). So don't get your hosiery in a not...that wouldn't be very sweet.
Men have it easy. We can be fat slobs and still lay our jobless butts around your house borrowing money and the keys to your car. |

Women baiting other women into an argument or a point of view or anything involving more than one talking and emotions.
it's a newb mistake o_O |

Yes, I know that men also get breast cancer. But most people don't care about that. If a woman has breast cancer people act like it's the end of the world. iIf a man has breast cancer, people will shrug their shoulders and won't even bother to cook them a meal or help them in any way.
Also, most homeless people are men. |

IMHO (generalizing) there are two types of people in the world.. those that will stand up for what they believe in.. and fight for it
and those that will sit idly by, complaining about EVERYthing that is WRONG with the system / world.. yet do absolutely NOTHING to encourage or instigate change.. as Txs previously stated.. not ALL women have it easy.. there are many that have to suffer horrible hardships, yet have successfully maneuvered the hurdles alone, using only their ingenuity & strength of character.. same is true of some men.. and as she also stated.. the only reason there's so much chatter about breast cancer (for women) is because women were the ones that fought hard to MAKE it known.. however the same WOULD be true if someone(probably men in this case) did the same and made a statement out of male targeted illnesses.. like they've done with Viagra and Impotency.. and perhaps your experience suggests people are being ignored or no one is helping them.. but there are tons of agency's that COULD help, if those needing it would actually use them.. however, I have never turned someone away or walked past someone in need for ANY reason without trying to do something to help.. even if only to take them for a bite to eat.. and I know a LOT of people just like myself.. so hope you'll understand that I'm a lil offended when a generalized statement is tossed out there insinuating "most people" are completely self absorbed! as to "most homeless people are men" statement.. I'd have to disagree.. in MY experience I've seen as many women as men.. a good percentage of the homeless I'VE seen sadly, are that way due to a dependency on either drugs or alcohol.. however I won't argue that there are exceptions to that statement as well.. this obviously is a concern, as you've brought up the subject, may I ask though.. have you taken any steps into changing these issues? |

I use the word "most" because I know not everyone acts the way I am talking about. I am generalizing. I am glad that there are people who treat men and women the same. Maybe most or all of the women you know are also kind and don't value their gender over males. But that doesn't mean that most others are as good as you are.
And of course I'm not all talk and no action. |

that's good that you get involved.. everyone SHOULD (but that's sadly unlikely to ever be a reality) however.. if you need any suggestions on how to proceed with an issue or cause.. please don't hesitate to ask.. there's a LOT of savvy women on this site with experience in many different areas that I'm SURE wouldn't mind offering sage advice..

According to the American Cancer Society and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, more women in the USA die from respiratory cancer annually than die from breast cancer annually.
So, why isn't there a race for the cure for respiratory cancer? |
|
|
|
Exactly! I never even hear about respiratory cancer.
